President Donald Trump granted full pardons to two U.S. Army soldiers accused of “war crimes” and reversed the demotion of a Navy SEAL who was acquitted of killing an ISIS terrorist.

Millions of Americans considered Army First Lieutenant Clint Lorance, Army Major Mathew Golsteyn (a Green Beret), and Special Warfare Operator First Class Edward Gallagher heroes who should not have been prosecuted for actions committed during the unending wars in the Middle East.

In a Nov. 15 statement, the White House said:

“The President, as Commander-in-Chief, is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the law is enforced and when appropriate, that mercy is granted.

For more than two hundred years, presidents have used their authority to offer second chances to deserving individuals, including those in uniform who have served our country. These actions are in keeping with this long history.

As the President has stated, “when our soldiers have to fight for our country, I want to give them the confidence to fight.”

Keep in mind that it’s these soldiers’ jobs to kill terrorists. So if there are less vermin walking the Earth who want to kill Americans, good riddance.

Can you imagine ISIS holding a court martial because one of its jihadists murdered an American soldier? To the contrary, that jihadi would be hailed a hero.

Here’s a rundown on their cases:

Clint Lorance was serving six years into a 19-year sentence for ordering his soldiers to kill three men in Afghanistan. Lorence supporters said he killed Taliban terrorists, but several members of his unit claimed the men were innocent.

Mathew Golsteyn‘s trial was expected to begin in December. The Green Beret was charged with murder in the 2010 death of a suspected Taliban bomb maker. The bomb maker reportedly murdered two Marines.

Edward Gallagher — a 15-year Navy SEAL — was acquitted of murdering an ISIS terrorist in Iraq in 2017.

However, he was convicted of a lesser charge in July 2019 for posing for a photo with the dead ISIS terrorist’s corpse. Gallagher’s rank was reduced and his pay was docked $10,000.

Yesterday, Gallagher thanked President Trump on Instagram, saying: “We are blessed as a Nation to have a Commander-in-Chief that stands up for our warfighters, and cares about how they and their families are treated.”

Predictably, the Washington Post and other left-wing media outlets are slamming President Trump, claiming he “meddled” in these military cases against the wishes of some Pentagon officials.

Keep in mind that Trump is the Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces. Americans did not elect Pentagon officials, so their alleged disapproval of Trump’s pardons is irrelevant.

Besides, where was the left-wing outrage when Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl faced no criminal actions for deserting his post in Afghanistan in 2017? Six American soldiers were killed during a search mission to find Bergdahl.

Bergdahl pled guilty and was dishonorably discharged, reduced in rank from sergeant to private, and fined $10,000. In other words, Bergdahl was only forced to pay a measly $10,000 for causing the deaths of six soldiers.

Amazingly, during his 2017 court martial, Bergdahl had the audacity to trash the U.S. Army.

“At least the Taliban were honest enough to say, ‘I’m the guy who’s gonna cut your throat,’” Bergdahl quipped. “Here, it could be the guy I pass in the corridor who’s going to sign the paper that sends me away for life. We may as well go back to kangaroo courts and lynch mobs.”
