Some days, getting out of bed as the greatest U.S. president in modern history is worth it, such as Saturday when POTUS and the first lady received a roaring standing ovation from a crowd of more than 100,000 fans early in the LSU-Alabama game.

In a nation as divided as we are these days, there are plenty of tough days for President Trump. But a capacity crowd at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, provided a deafening dose of southern hospitality to the Trumps during the game’s first timeout and they clearly appreciated it.

As anxious as everyone was for the big rivalry game to kickoff, it almost appeared as if there was a danger the event was about to turn into a mega MAGA rally, with chants of “USA, USA” after the first couple was introduced and shown on the Jumbotron.
Trump won Alabama decisively in 2016 with 63 percent of the vote, and he took more than 58 percent of the votes in Louisiana. The South is conservative country and they love their president.

Joining them in the private box were several Republican politicians including Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama, and members of Congress from both states. The group included Rep. Bradley Byrne, a candidate for Senate running in a field of primary opponents that includes former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Trump did not side with either team in a game pitting the number one and two ranked teams in the AP football poll. But he did express his appreciation for the state hosting the game. “I love Alabama,” he said on Friday. “I’m going to go watch a very good football game, which is tomorrow with LSU, and it’s going to be great.”
THIS IS HOW REAL AMERICA TREATS OUR PRESIDENT!!
This is what got @realDonaldTrump elected in 2016 and WHY he will get elected in 2020!!
But the media will only show disgraces in DC during a Nationals game…

The national media has been eager to portray Trump’s appearance at recent sporting events as being met with boos, though those portrayals have been disputed with the crowds at a Washington Nationals World Series game and a UFC fight in New York being split, offering as many cheers as jeers.
In this case, there is no fudging the warm reception given to the Trumps in Alabama by the immense crowd, so of course, it’s only crickets from the news media.

“Regardless of your political views, that’s pretty cool, having the president at the game,” said LSU quarterback Joe Burrow, according to Fox News. Burrow passed for 393 yards and three TDs in a 46-41 win.
The Trumps arrived to the game after it started and during the fourth quarter to avoid causing undue traffic issues for the fans.
