Trump-endorsed Republican Daniel Cameron was elected Kentucky’s first black attorney general in a historic election after easily defeating Democrat Greg Stumbo. Cameron was a former general counsel to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Daniel Cameron is also the first Republican elected Kentucky attorney general in 71 years.

He’s representative of the growing movement of minority Trump supporters who are rejecting the race-baiting identity politics of the Democratic Party.

On Nov. 4 (the day before his election), Cameron spoke at a raucous Trump rally in Kentucky, where he praised the president for supporting the Second Amendment and for prioritizing American citizens and legal residents over illegal immigrants.

“Kentucky is Trump country!” Cameron said. “We are going to stand with you in protecting the 2nd Amendment rights of all Kentuckians. We are going to make sure that Kentucky is never a sanctuary state!”

President Trump, who endorsed Cameron, introduced the young attorney by saying, “a star is born.”

At the same rally, Senator Rand Paul urged the media to unmask the left-wing whistleblower whose complaint — based on hearsay — launched the Democrats’ impeachment inquiry.

Do your job and print his name!” Paul exhorted the media. Despite numerous fake-news reports, outing the whistleblower is not against the law.

Daniel Cameron, 34, previously served as Mitch McConnell’s general counsel. A graduate of the University of Louisville, Cameron has been practicing law since 2011 and once clerked for a federal judge.

Cameron said his priority is stamping out the deadly drug epidemic roiling the United States.

Shortly after the election was called, President Trump expressed his support for Cameron. “Great going Daniel, proud of you!” Trump tweeted.

Cameron responded: “Thank you @realDonaldTrump — looking forward to working with you to take on the drug crisis, stop illegal immigration, and uphold the rule of law!”

Meanwhile, the Trump economy is soaring. Unemployment is at record lows for every demographic group, including women, African-Americans, Asians, and Latinos.

Despite the constant, race-baiting media attacks against Trump, black Trump supporters say President Trump “is making America greater than it’s ever been!”

Iraq War veteran Rob Smith — a black Trump supporter who’s openly gay — recently praised the president for the tremendous efforts he has made to help the black community.

“Black unemployment is at a historic low,” Smith wrote at Fox News in July 2019. “In Detroit, for example, the unemployment rate is so low that employers are taking a softer stance towards hiring ex-convicts than they had in the past.”

Smith said the left’s constant screeching calling President Trump “racist” belies the actions he has taken to help black Americans.

Rob Smith said he wishes the Democratic Party — which pays empty lip service to championing minorities — spent as much time helping the black community as it does smearing Trump.

“I know what it’s like to to be consistently let down by elected officials — usually Democrats — who promise they will make things better for poor folks, but never deliver,” Smith wrote.
