President Donald Trump “changed the game” in the war on terrorism by crushing the ISIS network and ordering the killing of its founder/leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi over the weekend. That’s what Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said in an Oct. 27 press conference.

“[Trump] made a conscious decision when he went to Iraq to change the game when it came to destroying ISIS,” Senator Graham said. “He has had a determination to destroy the caliphate unlike anybody I’ve ever met.”

Graham continued: “The president has been very determined for a long time to bring Baghdadi to justice, and I want to compliment him and his team for bringing about a result that is a game-changer in the war on terror.”

Lindsey Graham warned that the “war on terror is by no means over,” but said Trump has made tremendous strides.

“The caliphate is dead, and the leader of the caliphate is dead,” Graham said. “And that’s a big deal.”

The hawkish Graham —  a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee — previously criticized Trump for his decision to pull U.S. troops from Syria, saying the United States should remain in the area indefinitely.

However, Graham credited President Trump’s determination and shrewdness for dismantling the ISIS network, piece by piece.

“You think the caliphate destroyed itself?” Graham said. “When it comes to terrorism, the president changed the rules of engagement.”

While it’s nice that Graham supports Trump’s campaign to destroy ISIS, he has come under fire for “not lifting a finger” to defend President Trump amid the Democrats’ secret, one-sided impeachment inquiry.

“Nothing is happening in the U.S. Senate! Nothing!” Fox Business host Lou Dobbs said last week. “For nine months, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee [Lindsey Graham] has not lifted a finger to help this president.”

Dobbs continued: “He blathers little sound bites for or against the president every week but has done nothing for the American people or truth, justice and the American way. He is an embarrassment to the government of this country and its traditions.”

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton agreed with Dobbs, saying Republican lawmakers must demand transparency from the Democrat-led House of Representatives.

“This is why the Senate needs to take leadership,” said Fitton, who urged Republicans to grow a pair and “shut down this coup.”

Former White House strategist Steve Bannon has sounded the alarm for conservatives, saying they must do more to defend Trump against the left’s nonstop attempts to impeach him without cause.

As BizPac Review reported, Bannon predicts that Trump will be impeached by December 1 by the Democrat-led House of Representatives.

When will Republicans step up and do something to defend the leader of their party from an unconstitutional power grab? The clock is ticking.
