As if the “Do Nothing Democrats” don’t have plenty of domestic challenges that they can be pursuing, beginning with a secure border and sound immigration laws …
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and a delegation of Democrats, plus one Republican, went to Jordan over the weekend to meet King Abdullah II and others to discuss events taking place in Syria.
Among those traveling with the speaker were Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., chairman of the House Intelligence Committee who is heading up the Democrat Party’s efforts to impeach President Donald Trump — the partisan ploy proving that the party isn’t above putting political agendas before the good of the nation.
“Our bipartisan delegation is visiting Jordan at a critical time for the security and stability of the region,” Pelosi said in a public statement, according to Fox News. “With the deepening crisis in Syria after Turkey’s incursion, our delegation has engaged in vital discussions about the impact to regional stability, increased flow of refugees, and the dangerous opening that has been provided to ISIS, Iran and Russia.”
As for the bipartisan claim, that requires a single Republican and the token was Rep. Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee. For the record, Thornberry is not running for reelection in 2020.

The visit comes after the administration reached a ceasefire agreement with Turkey, which had invaded northern Syria in a campaign to drive out the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces. Turkey launched the offensive after the president pulled U.S. forces from the region.
Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo brokered the deal between Turkey and Syria last week, as Democrats and interventionist Republicans were predicting doom and calamity in withdrawing from Syria.
Speaker Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer have called the ceasefire agreement a “sham.”
President Trump took to Twitter on Sunday to share his take on the Jordan visit.
“Pelosi is now leading a delegation of 9, including Corrupt Adam Schiff, to Jordan to check out Syria,” he tweeted. “She should find out why Obama drew The Red Line In the Sand, & then did NOTHING, losing Syria & all respect. I did something, 58 missiles. One million died under Obama’s mistake!”

There has been a lot of speculation over Pelosi and Schiff’s intentions in traveling to Jordan, whether it’s in furtherance of the witch hunt to remove Trump or meddling in foreign affairs, the Logan Act be damned.
Of course, if former Secretary of State John Kerry can escape being charged with violating the act in his alleged efforts to counsel Iran on how to oppose the Trump White House, one may wonder why it remains on the books.
Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, didn’t mince words in voicing his thoughts on the matter.
“Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff are overseas meeting with Middle Eastern leadership in Jordan. They’re actively trying to undermine President Trump’s peace plan in Syria. Not only do they want to undermine him at home — they want to do it abroad too This is an outrage Logan Act?” he tweeted.

That’s a reasonable assumption. Their conduct and behavior supports “resistance at any cost” thesis, thus, they are not overseas to assist the administration or the country, but whether to undermine or overthrow.
