On Saturday evening President Trump announced that, due to “Media & Democrat Crazed and Irrational Hostility,” the 2020 G7 will not take place at the Trump National Doral in Miami.

After pointing out the reasons the property in Florida was deemed ideal for hosting the G7 leaders and their entourages, as well as his plan to have allowed the event to take place there at no cost to taxpayers, he yielded to the partisan pressure being exerted by the left.

“I thought I was doing something very good for our Country by using Trump National Doral, in Miami, for hosting the G-7 Leaders,” tweeted Trump. “It is big, grand, on hundreds of acres, next to MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, has tremendous ballrooms & meeting rooms, and each delegation would have… its own 50 to 70 unit building. Would set up better than other alternatives. I announced that I would be willing to do it at NO PROFIT or, if legally permissible, at ZERO COST to the USA. But, as usual, the Hostile Media & their Democrat Partners went CRAZY!”

“Therefore, based on both Media & Democrat Crazed and Irrational Hostility, we will no longer consider Trump National Doral, Miami, as the Host Site for the G-7 in 2020,” he added. “We will begin the search for another site, including the possibility of Camp David, immediately.”

On Thursday, acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney had announced the choice of the Doral, triggering the leftist media to claim “conflicts of interest,” interestingly in stark contrast to their avoidance of the very profitable Ukrainian influence exercised by the Bidens.

“There’s a long list of the accommodations on-site — the ballrooms, the bilateral rooms, the photo-ops, the support hotels that are there, the proximity to cities and airports, helicopter landing zones, medical facilities, etc.,” he said.

“We’re not making any profit,” Mulvaney told reporters. “We’ve already established that.”

As for benefits to be gained from free advertising or branding, he said: “I would simply ask y’all to consider the possibility that Donald Trump’s brand is probably strong enough as it is and doesn’t need any more help on that. It’s the most recognizable name in the English language and probably around the world right now.”

“There’s no profit here. There’s clearly profit with the Bidens,” he later exclaimed.

Among the benefits Trump noted for the Doral is its proximity to Miami International, but critics claimed that was more of a drawback than an advantage.

MSNBC host Chuck Todd claimed there were “major security concerns with Doral.”

“Doral is right on the Miami airport flight paths,” he said. “I think one of my reporters told me there’s like 20 different flight paths that are going to have to be diverted.”

Washington Post reporter David Farenthold agreed.

“This is such a security nightmare to put it in the middle of a neighborhood where you’re going to have the neighbors coming and going,” he whined.
