The House Intelligence Committee on Thursday released the complaint filed by an intelligence community whistleblower against President Donald Trump.
The whistleblower claims in the complaint to have received information from “multiple” U.S. government officials that Trump had solicited help from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for the 2020 election.
The whistleblower, who has not been identified, acknowledged that they were not a direct witness to most of the events described in the complaint. Instead, they picked up second-hand information from other White House and intelligence community officials.
The nine-page document focuses almost entirely on a June 25 phone call between Trump and Zelensky.
The White House released a transcript of that call on Wednesday.
