President Donald Trump is waiting for an apology from Democrats.
The transcript of the president’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky back in July was just released by the White House, and just as Trump had asserted, there was no evidence of any quid pro quo as Democrats have been insisting he tried to leverage U.S. military aid to the nation.
Will the Democrats apologize after seeing what was said on the call with the Ukrainian President? They should, a perfect call – got them by surprise!

The phone call, which occurred on July 25 from 9:03 a.m. to 9:33 a.m, was at the center of a whistleblower complaint against the president alleging he made a “promise” to the Ukraine leader as he pressured him to investigate the business dealings of former Vice president Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, in Ukraine.
Democrats have been clamoring for the transcript of the phone call in the hopes of finding something they could use against the president as they launch a formal impeachment inquiry.
But their expectations may well be dashed as the released transcript, which was declassified by Trump a day earlier, shows no mention of military aid in the conversation.

“I heard you had a prosecutor who was very good and he was shut down and that’s really unfair,” Trump said in the call after Zelensky spoke about the “strategic partnership” with the U.S. and his administration’s plans to be transparent and candid.
“A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your very good prosecutor down,” Trump said as he discussed efforts to start fresh with the new Ukrainian president.
“There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great,” Trump said. “Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it…It sounds horrible to me.”
Zelensky assured Trump that the matter would be looked into by his new prosecutor.
“He or she will look into the situation specifically to the company that you mentioned in this issue, the issue of the investigation of the case is actually the issue to restore the honesty so we will take care of that and we will work on the investigation of the case,” the Ukrainian president said, asking Trump to provide any other information he could to help expedite the investigation.
“I will have Mr. Giuliani give you call and I’m also going to have Attorney General Barr call and we will get to the bottom of it. I’m sure you will figure it out,” Trump said.
Despite all the drama Democrats caused over the alleged corruption by Trump, the only “favor” he asked of Zelensky had to do with information about the hacking of the Democratic National Committee’s server in 2016.
“I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike… I guess you have one of your wealthy people… The server, they say Ukraine has it,” Trump said.
Trump will be meeting with the Ukrainian leader in New York Wednesday in what was already a scheduled meeting and press conference as the leaders have been attending the United Nations General Assembly gathering.
It remains to be seen whether Democrats will be giving the president that apology, which doesn’t seem likely in the wake of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement Tuesday that she was endorsing the launch of a formal impeachment inquiry, regardless of the transcript, and as Democrats continue to press for the release of the full whistleblower report.
