Tech billionaire Peter Thiel sounded the alarm on the dangers of socialism and warned Americans to remain vigilant about the failed ideology creeping into the United States. The PayPal co-founder also underscored that he’ll endorse President Donald Trump in 2020.

“I think the President will get re-elected, but the socialists are not to be underestimated,” Thiel told Fox Nation‘s Uncommon Knowledge.

Thiel said he generally tries to avoid politics because it’s so divisive and “deeply adversarial.”

However, he admits that he’s worried about the normalization of socialism thanks to Democratic presidential candidates like Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

“I would like us to be honest about how terrible politics is,” Thiel said. “As someone who is generally libertarian, I would like to live in a world that is less conflict, less politics.”

That said, Thiel warned Americans to not underestimate radical leftists like Elizabeth Warren.

Thiel was doubling-down on his previous remarks from July, when he called the 2020 Democratic presidential field “unimpressive,” but said he considers Senator Warren a “dangerous” contender.

“I’m most scared by Elizabeth Warren,” Thiel said in July. “She’s the one who’s actually talking about the economy, which is the only thing that matters by far.”

Thiel said the rest of the Democratic field is a motley crew of uninspiring hopefuls who are pandering to voters by playing identity politics. “But I think Elizabeth Warren’s the dangerous one,” he said.

Peter Thiel is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur whose vocal support for Donald Trump has made him something of an outcast in the tech industry, which is overwhelmingly left-wing.

Three years ago, Thiel was attacked by the left for endorsing Donald Trump at the 2016 GOP Convention.

In 2016, Peter Thiel was slammed by the left for coming out as gay while simultaneously endorsing Donald Trump at the GOP convention.

At the time, the tech visionary said Trump’s America is the wave of the future. Thiel also said the reason why Trump rocketed to popularity was because the United States had tumbled into decay — thanks to liberal policies.

“What Trump represents isn’t crazy and it’s not going away,” Thiel said in 2016. “No matter how crazy this election seems, it is less crazy than the condition of our country.”

Thiel explained at the 2016 GOP Convention:

“I’m not a politician. But neither is Donald Trump. He is a builder, and it’s time to rebuild America.

Where I work in Silicon Valley, it’s hard to see where America has gone wrong. My industry has made a lot of progress in computers and in software, and, of course, it’s made a lot of money.

But Silicon Valley is a small place. Drive out to Sacramento or even just across the bridge to Oakland. And you won’t see the same prosperity.”

Thiel then blasted the left for missing the forest for the trees by focusing on identity politics and grievance-mongering instead of rebuilding the U.S. economy and improving the lives of everyday Americans:

“When I was a kid, the great debate was about how to defeat the Soviet Union. Now we are told that the great debate is about who gets to use which bathroom. This is a distraction from our real problems. Who cares?

“Of course, every American has a unique identity. I am proud to be gay. I am proud to be a Republican. But most of all, I am proud to be an American. I don’t pretend to agree with every plank in our party’s platform. But fake culture wars only distract us from our economic decline, and nobody in this race is being honest about it except Donald Trump.”
