Hateful ‘View’: Ivanka, Jared crashed Dad’s funeral, says McCain

On Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” the women were discussing a Trump family drama laid out by The Atlantic, when the token “conservative” at the table, Meghan McCain, took the opportunity to take a cheap shot at first daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner.

From high atop her moral perch, the daughter of the late Sen. John McCain declared that the couple are “not good people.”

Her reasoning being that Ivanka and her husband attended the funeral of her father to pay their respects.

“No offense, they crashed my dad’s funeral,” McCain spewed. “They get nothing from me. Really, they’re not good people.”

Never mind that the couple was invited, with widow Cindy McCain’s permission, by Sen. Lindsey Graham, one of the late senator’s closest friends.

The remark came after co-host Abby Huntsman expressed sympathy for the Trump children, saying it felt like they were raised on a reality TV show.

“I found myself feeling sorry for the kids at different moments,” Huntsman said, to the angst of Trump-hating co-host Joy-less Behar.

McCain, who’s entire claim to fame is that she is the daughter of Sen. John McCain, a favorite among many liberals, got catty in going after Ivanka, saying she “doesn’t live up to all the hype.”

“I still don’t know what she does all day,” she said of the president’s daughter, who serves as a White House adviser. “I know she does women’s initiatives but that’s all very nebulous.”

The Atlantic piece dishes on alleged infighting between Ivanka and brother Donald Trump Jr., to include supposed suspicions from each sibling of planted stories from the other.

The White House was quick to denounce the The Atlantic article.

“All of this is false and a flimsy single anonymous source will not succeed at creating a rift in the family,” White House spokeswoman Jessica Ditto told People magazine.

Ditto also dismissed the reporter, McKay Coppins, and the ladies on “The View.”

“The idea that the hosts of The View or a reporter at The Atlantic have any factual reads on what goes on within the Trump family is completely asinine,” she said.

“Ivanka is proud of this administration and the work that they’ve done over the last 2 1/2 years,” Ditto added. “Pledges for the creation of millions of training opportunities for American workers and over a billion dollars in funding toward women’s economic empowerment in Latin America are anything but nebulous.”

There was a moment in the segment where Huntsman talked about spending a day with Ivanka and felt that she wanted to tell her something that she couldn’t.

The ladies began joking about this, with co-host Sunny Hostin chiming in to ask if Ivanka was “blinking her eyes,” imitating the act with her hand and adding, “Morse code?”

Of course, it was Naval aviator Jeremiah Denton who blinked out “T-O-R-T-U-R-E” in Morse code during a propaganda video to expose North Vietnam’s brutal treatment of prisoners of war.

Denton was the senior officer while McCain’s father was held as a prisoner of war in Vietnam — she sat there and said nothing as Hostin mocked the act.
