Chris Cuomo: ‘The president’s mouth is a threat to this country’

Much like the Russian collusion hoax repeated ad nauseam by the media all throughout President Donald Trump’s first two years in office — until former special counsel Robert Mueller failed to come through for them — the new mantra is that Trump is a racist.

Eschewing any pretense of impartiality, the Trump-hating media will bang on that drum hard and loud until the day Americans cast their votes next year, that and the pretense that the president is a danger to this nation.

In what amounts to a two-fer, CNN’s Chris Cuomo hit on both narratives on his show Friday, accusing Trump of racism as he declared that “the president’s mouth is a threat to this country.”

Eager to move on from Fredo-gate, Cuomo was all worked up over Trump’s harsh criticism of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, a man he called an “enemy” on the same scale as Chinese President Xi Jinping for Powell’s remarks on tariffs and his hesitancy to cut interest rates, which Trump has requested to stimulate the economy.

Cuomo said Trump “likes to be provocative,” because it “messes with the media, and gets him a lot of attention.”

“But there’s also a point at which what he is saying is inherently abnormal and a dereliction of his duty,” he added.

“This statement is a metaphor for the mess this president is making. Puppets, like Senator Graham, say ‘Well, that’s him being a street fighter.’ That’s a pathetic excuse for bad behavior, and he knows it,” Cuomo said. “Too many, like Graham, even some in the media, refuse to call it out because this president could be such a scold, he can be such a dangerous enemy.”

He then added, “Fine, then live with your cowardice. The truth is the president’s mouth is a threat to this country.”

The CNN anchor goes on to declare that the president is not much different than the Chinese leader he is so critical of.

“The sick part is why he’s doing this. It’s just because both these men represent what he doesn’t want. They won’t do what he wants,” Cuomo said. “He literally doesn’t care that one is an oppressive autocrat because he consistently is not bothered by despots, and can’t stop talking like one himself.”

“His foul mouth is just the stench of a real wound,” he continued, that being that the president is a racist, of course.

This being the decree from the same media cabal that had Trump all but convicted for being a Kremlin asset in the White House.

“He doesn’t just run his mouth about a fake brown menace,” Cuomo ranted on, with his own special take on reality. “He pushes to put kids in cages, to round up migrants working illegally, but not their employers, like him, even though the employers break the law just as much as people who enter illegally; just as he broke the law at his clubs, and still does.”

The distortion of policy is a staple on a network that all but dedicates 24/7 coverage to destroying Trump, and Cuomo was just getting warmed up in an argument seemingly directed at Trump supporters.

“He wants to remove a Constitutional protection of birthright citizenship. How’s that preserving the Constitution?” he continued. “He wants to end the promise of taking the tired and poor. His people literally say to your face, that poem, the new Colossus on the Statue of Liberty: it’s just words, it’s not policy. Thank God the generations that built this country, those that came freely, didn’t know that. They weren’t told that. Or else, a lot of us wouldn’t be here.”

The myth of a Muslim ban is also perpetuated, never mind that while restrictions are in place for six countries, 40 other Muslim-majority countries don’t face these same restrictions.

“He doesn’t just talk about Islam being evil. He acts on it,” Cuomo continued. “He doesn’t want them to come in. He tries to ban them. He doesn’t just soft-pedal an objection to white supremacy. He refuses to call their murdering ways ‘terrorism.'”

Ceding the fact that Trump’s iconic campaign tagline, “Make America Great Again,” is insurmountable, Cuomo attempts to denounce Trump for not living up to it — because he hates brown people.

“This president is a living, breathing, tweeting example of a very different America than the one that made us great,” Cuomo concluded. “And you will choose, and look at everything that happens through that lens.”
