Fox News confirmed Thursday afternoon that former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be joining the network to “provide political commentary and analysis.”
“FOX News has signed former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders as a contributor,” the network announced in a press release issued to BizPac Review.
“Sanders will provide political commentary and analysis across all of FOX News Media, including FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOX News Digital, FOX Nation and the radio/podcast division. She will make her debut on FOX & Friends during its next live audience show on September 6th.”
While the move provoked cheers from those of whom happen to be both fans of President Donald Trump and Fox News, it appeared to trigger consternation — and sometimes even rage — from members of the far-left, including those embedded within the mainstream media:
Pathetic. Fox is no longer even trying to hide that they are a propaganda operation. https://t.co/bmH31jNOZA

Having proved her ability to utter the most shamelessly ridiculous lies while looking into a camera and not sticking her thumbs up her nostrils and shrieking, “You actually believe this BS? GOO GOO GA GA!”, @SarahHuckabee to join Fox “News.” https://t.co/5DPiPNVhAp

Sanders was already a Fox News contributor in all but name. From August 2017 through the end of her tenure in the position, Sanders appeared on Fox News weekday programming 67 times, compared to just six interviews on CNN and none on MSNBC.

The news that Sarah Huckabee Sanders is joining Fox News is about as surprising as water flowing down hill.

Becomes? Everyone knows Sarah Sanders has been working hand in hand with the propaganda-tainment operation at Fox News since 2017, just ask countless FBI agents https://t.co/5v9qsGTgqk

The other shoe finally drops: CNN says former White House press secretary Sarah Sanders will join Fox News as a contributor, continuing the revolving door between the Trump administration and the conservative cable newschannel. https://t.co/ztbcWGjoPp pic.twitter.com/vdtdoPsuj1

Wrote this about Spicer and ABC last night, now it applies to Sanders and Fox too: How should ex-White House officials be treated when they spend months misleading the public, then seek positions of fame and privilege?

The bottom four tweets were posted by self-described “journalists” and “reporters” who appear to believe that it’s unusual for former White House officials to wind up with gigs with the news media.
That would certainly be news to former Obama administration adviser Ben Rhodes, who joined liberal media news outlets NBC News and MSNBC in 2017; former Obama administration press secretary Josh Earnest, who joined the same networks in 2017; and fellow former Obama administration press secretary Jay Carney, who joined liberal news outlet CNN in 2014.
According to conservative commentator Erick Erickson, a slew of other Obama administration officials have, over the years, wound up with jobs in the demonstrably left-wing media.
“During the Obama Administration, many members of the media floated in and out of the administration and in and out of leftwing blogs and think tanks. They are still around with many of them serving as reporters and their leftwing friends as active members of the Democrats’ ‘resistance,’” he noted in a column at the end of Trump’s first year in office.
“They trade information and shape each other’s worldviews and I am not convinced the heads of media outlets are doing enough to push their reporters to separate their worldview from the facts at hand. As a result, we are not getting the whole truth, but a narrative within which facts are shaped to advance the narrative.”
While it could be argued speculatively that the same thing may now be happening in reverse — that a former conservative administration official may be joining a network that leans to the right so as to boost the conservative narrative — it’s unclear what would differentiate Sanders’ work with FNC from the work numerous former Obama administration officials have performed for the liberal media.
Especially Rhodes, Earnest and Carney, all of whom have their own history of spouting either purposeful or unintentional lies and mistruths.
Of all the criticism from the media Thursday, the one tweet that seemed to attract the most scorn was the one by CNN chief media correspondent Brian Stelter, who works for a network that :
#1. Habitually trots out lies and mislead information about the president on a near-daily basis.
#2. Has hired numerous former Obama administration officials.
#3. And whose “journalists” often rant and rave like political commentators.

Here’s the thing. That’s not up to you. That’s up to the viewers. Period.

Good Lord. They should be “treated” the way people wish. if you want to hate them, hate them– if others don’t, they won’t. The marketplace works. Did the fortunes of Ted Kennedy and Bill Clinton (after sins far worse than perceived “misleading the public”) cause such angst?

If you dont see the inherent bias in YOUR words and YOUR tweet…then you are truly a hopeless and need to be accountable for the continuing damage YOU are doing to the @CNN brand and resulting ratings decline.

Imagine the gall … CNN accusing someone else of misleading the public ! The delusional thinking it takes to work for CNN is staggering.

apparently, they should be forced to take a gig at @CNN or some other MSM outlet as a talking head to push the left’s agenda
