President Donald Trump told reporters on Sunday that he is not considering replacing Vice President Mike Pence on his 2020 Republican ticket.
“I am happy with Mike Pence,” he said before boarding Marine One on his return to Washington from a weekend in New Jersey.
“I think Mike Pence has been an outstanding VP. I think that he’s been incredible in terms of the love that a lot of people, especially if you look at the evangelicals and so many others, they have a great respect for our vice president, and so do I, and so do, I think, most people,” the president said.
“I wouldn’t be thinking about [replacing Pence]. A lot of the people amazingly, they bring different names up. And that’s by the way at some point, standard,” he added. “Everybody thought that President Obama was going to change Biden. They thought second term he was going to change that. Everybody thought that, but he didn’t do that.”
“I am very happy with Mike Pence,” Trump then reiterated.
A reporter asked who else was considered for the VP slot on the 2016 ticket, but the president laughingly said, “At some point I’ll let you know.”

Pence is undoubtedly a loyal and valuable asset to the Trump administration, especially given the fact that Trump’s background is outside of government circles. Pence spent 12 years in Congress so he knows his way around the Capitol maze of dos and don’ts. He is also knowledgeable on the states’ perspective as a former governor of Indiana.
Pence also has proven himself to be a bit of a policy wonk as well as being impossible to ruffle through the stormy seas of the Trump presidency. Whatever the issue, Vice President Pence is right there in-step, backing the president. So what’s not to like?
The fact that Pence is an ultra-conservative, pro-life man of faith makes him popular with the Republican base and a pariah in the minds of mainstream media … both of which are huge positives in a very divided U.S. ahead of what is sure to be a brutal election campaign season.
Others have noted and sometimes criticized how Pence does not so much as flinch, blink, or shrug when confronted with a controversial or questionable Trump comment or decision. The mainstream media, deep in the tank for the Democrats, would pounce on any such hint of discord between the number one and number two men in the executive branch. But Pence is fully aware of that and he consistently displays an inordinate level of loyalty to the President.
It would be hard to think of how anyone could perform in the role of Trump’s vice president any better than Pence has. There’s no way the president will move to replace him.
Only the Media were even questioning this!!!!
