Sean Hannity comes to the surprising defense of rival Chris Cuomo after his colossal ‘Fredo’ meltdown

To underscore that conservatives are more open-minded and tolerant than leftists, Fox News host Sean Hannity leapt to Chris Cuomo’s defense when the little brother of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo had an epic meltdown after being mocked as “Fredo.”

Fredo was the dopey, incompetent older brother of Mafia kingpin Michael Corleone from the award-winning film “The Godfather.”

CNN nepotism boy Chris Cuomo has always chafed at the reference, since his critics know he feels insecure being in the shadow of his powerful older brother Andrew and his accomplished father, the late Mario Cuomo (a former New York governor).

Hannity tweeted: “I say good for Chris Cuomo. He’s out with his 9-year-old daughter and his wife, and this guy is being a jackass in front of his family. Imho Chris Cuomo has zero to apologize for. He deserves the apology.”

Some people agreed with Hannity.

Here’s one person you don’t want in your corner: Disgraced attorney Michael Avenatti.

However, many of Hannity’s fans disagreed with him. They pointed out that if Hannity (or some other conservative) had been caught on camera threatening a leftist, the entire Left would be calling for his immediate firing.

“If this were you, you’d be all over the news right now.”

Another Twitter user quipped: “So your answer is LilAndrew should act like a bigger fool in front of his daughter??? I didn’t hear the other guy curse like an animal.”

Still another Twitter user remarked: “Sean, Chris Cuomo dropped the “F” bomb more than Pacino did in ‘Scarface’ and said he was going to end the guy and throw him down the stairs. He obviously didn’t give a crap his wife and daughter heard that, but you think Cuomo being called Fredo was worse for his family to hear? ???

Florida business executive Jack Furnari said it’s good that Chris didn’t get in the face of a Sicilian — because he’d be on the floor right now.

Cuomo’s irrational ‘roid rage when a Limbaugh listener casually called him “Fredo” forever ensures that he will be known as “Fredo Cuomo.”

In the profanity-laced tirade, Cuomo acted like a true mafia thug from “The Godfather” by threatening to throw the man down a flight of stairs.

“Take a f–king swing at me. I’ll f–king wreck your sh*t. You didn’t know what you were doing when you called me Fredo? What about now?”

CNN hack Chris Cuomo ensured that he will forever be known as “Fredo Cuomo.”

Cuomo then made the outlandish and false claim that calling someone Fredo is an ethic slur. (No, it’s not.)

Cuomo ranted: “Punk-ass b*tches from the right call me Fredo. My name is Chris Cuomo. I’m an anchor at CNN. ‘Fredo’ is from ‘The Godfather.’ He was that weak brother. And they use it as an Italian aspersion.”

Chris continued: “Any of you Italian? It’s an insult to your people. It’s an insult to your f–king people.”

Cuomo further discredited himself when he falsely claimed that calling an Italian “Fredo” is on par with calling a black person the N-word.

“It’s like the N-word for us,” Cuomo huffed. “Is that a cool f–king thing?”

Conservative comedian Terrence Williams responded by mocking Cuomo, and disabusing him of the fake news that “Fredo” is in any way comparable to calling a black person the N-word.

Trump campaign adviser Katrina Pierson, who’s black, said Cuomo is an insensitive racist for comparing “Fredo” to the N-word.

Pierson tweeted: “Did Chris Cuomo just say that “Fredo” is to Italians what the N word is to black people? Th[e] N word is a dehumanizing word used against blacks who endured years of oppression. Fredo is a term from ‘The Godfather,’ referring to the dumb brother. Equivocating the two is pure racism.”

“Hey, NAACP, do you agree with Chris Cuomo and CNN that saying ‘Fredo’ is the equivalent of the ‘N’ word?”

Flashback: Chris Cuomo did nothing when CNN contributor Ana Navarro called Donald Trump Jr. “Fredo” on his show.
