New talking points: President Trump demonizes immigrants, but Businessman Trump sees profound benefit

In a rant Friday on MSNBC, which has come under heavy fire this week for its increasingly extreme and non-reality based fear-mongering, host Chris Hayes suggested that the exploitation of illegal aliens by wealthy elites is beneficial to the United States ….

He posited the bizarre, factually inaccurate claim while responding to an unsubstantiated report from The Washington Post about the Trump Organization’s alleged history of relying on illegal alien day laborers to complete some of its construction projects.

The core of the president’s rhetoric about immigration is always a threat, as a danger, as an invasion,” Hayes said Friday, beginning his rant with a blatant lie. “Fundamentally, immigration is an infection plaguing the country, an evil seeping across our borders.”

“The president is lying,” he added without a trace of self-awareness.

Listen to his spiel below:

Fact-check: FALSE.

The president’s rhetoric has concerned illegal aliens, not legal, law-abiding immigrants. Moreover, even The New York Times has admitted that the endless flow of illegal aliens has triggered a crisis across the southern U.S. border — one that is arguably indeed seeping into all of the U.S.

How so? It is a fact that every person molested, raped or murdered by an illegal alien would not have become a victim had the illegal alien not been in the United States in the first place.

Note also that Hayes, who purports to be a champions of immigrants, is a white native. This cannot be said of deceased California police officer Ronil Singh, a legal immigrant who was murdered by an illegal alien a day after Christmas 2018. Both Singh’s widow and his brother have repeatedly made it clear they back the president’s allegedly “anti-immigrant” policies.

“We know he’s lying because those are the things he says while he’s whipping up fear. But he’s also a businessman who tries to do what’s best for his bottom line,” Hayes continued Friday.

“Businessman Donald Trump doesn’t view unauthorized immigrants as invaders, as criminals, as an infestation. In fact, that Donald Trump has the correct view on immigrants, the view that correlates with how the vast majority of America operates:  That immigration in the United States is a profound net benefit.”

Fact-check: TRUE.

The president has repeatedly made it clear he supports legal immigration. In fact, just this week he renewed calls for more legal immigrants to be allowed into the states.

“We need people coming in because we have many companies coming into our country. … But we want to allow millions of people to come in because we need them. We have companies coming in from Japan, all over Europe, all over Asia. They’re opening up companies here. They need people to work. We have a very low unemployment rate,” he said during remarks made Wednesday.

But right after telling the truth, Hayes again returned to lying by suggesting that the Post’s unsubstantiated report about the Trump Organization hiring illegals proves something that it doesn’t.

“A bunch of people work, many in jobs Americans don’t want to do, they get paid and take that money back home,” he said. “They do good work, and the business benefits, and you know what? Everyone benefits. No one is harmed.”

Fact-check: FALSE.

“It’s important to push back against the deep ugliness of the president’s rhetoric on immigration, the dangerous atmosphere he has clearly created, but also, you don’t need to look farther than the Trump Organization itself for a parable about the actual affirmative positive effects of immigration in the United States of America,”  he concluded.

Assuming the report about the Trump Organization is true, it’s a blight on the president’s reputation versus something to be proudly touted. Why? Because one, it’s illegal, and two, because much like other illegal alien day laborers, those who allegedly worked with the organization were reportedly exploited, i.e., they were “denied some overtime wages and health benefits”  because of their illegal status, according to The Washington Post.

What remains unclear is whether the president was even aware of these illegals. The Trump Organization is a conglomerate comprised of roughly 500 businesses. While the president owns all of it, the idea that he’s aware of each individual business’s daily operations is unrealistic.

“I don’t know because I don’t run it,” he said when asked last month about illegals potentially working for his businesses. “But I would say this: Probably every club in the United States has that because it seems to be, from what I understand, a way that people did business.”

Meanwhile, the idea that the Trump Organization’s alleged exploitation of illegal alien day laborers is “a parable about the actual affirmative positive effects of immigration” is clearly false and also seems quite cruel. In reality, though, everything about illegal immigration is immensely cruel.

Like the president himself said during a speech in February, “Tolerance for illegal immigration is not compassionate, it is cruel.”

Why? Because it incentivizes more illegal immigration, meaning more children being “recycled” by smugglers and cartels, more families needlessly dying en route to the U.S. and more American women, men and children needlessly losing their lives (or their innocence) because of the actions of evil men who should have never even been allowed to step foot here in the first place.

But hey, maybe Hayes is into cruelty and exploitation … who knows?
