During Monday’s broadcast of Fox News’ “The Five,” co-host Jesse Watters pointed out something about the El Paso shooter that the partisan media have willfully chosen to ignore: A whole host of his policy concerns parallel the interests of the Democrat Party.
“Yes, he hated migrants. He was a segregationist, racial purist, total psycho,” Watters began, first echoing those aspects of the shooter’s manifesto that Democrats and the media have used to smear President Donald Trump and the nearly 63 million Americas who voted him into office.
Trump and his supporters don’t “hate” migrants or illegal aliens — they simply oppose illegal immigration. Nor are the president and his supporters segregationists and racial purists. In fact, many of his supporters are men and women of color: blacks, Hispanics, Asians, etc.
“But also, he was an environmental extremist,” Watters continued. “He used the exact same talking points from radical environmental extremists, talking about the Earth is being polluted, corporations are to blame, we need to depopulate the world. And that was also a motivating factor in the attack.”

Fact-check: Very true, though it’s a fact that’s been completely ignored by the media.
“The American lifestyle affords our citizens an incredible quality of life,” the manifesto reads. “However, our lifestyle is destroying the environment of our country. The decimation of the environment is creating a massive burden for future generations. Corporations are heading the destruction of our environment by shamelessly overharvesting resources. This has been a problem for decades.”
The shooter goes on to talk about the alleged similarities between the world seen in “The Lorax” — a children’s book by Dr. Seuss that some have argued has been used to indoctrinate children about the purported evils of corporations — and the world as it really exists.
“Water sheds around the country, especially in agricultural areas, are being depleted,” the manifesto continues. “Fresh water is being polluted from farming and oil drilling operations. Consumer culture is creating thousands of tons of unnecessary plastic waste and electronic waste, and recycling to help slow this down is almost non-existent.”
The rant ends with the shooter calling for population control.
“I just want to say that I love the people of this country, but god damn most of y’all are just too stubborn to change your lifestyle. So the next logical step is to decrease the number of people in America using resources. If we can get rid of enough people, then our way of life can become more sustainable.”
A couple hours before “The Five” aired Monday, conservative radio show host Rush Limbaugh also noted the stunning resemblance of the shooter’s rhetoric with that of the left.
“Who puts this crap out there?” he asked. “The left puts this crap out there, and they’re still publishing books about the fact that population is going to destroy and is destroying the planet even though it has been proven to be a totally false proposition.”
“It sounds like this kid has bought it all hook, line, and sinker, to me. That there are too many people, that corporations are rotten, that we’re destroying the planet with plastics and oil, and we’ve got to start killing people if the rest of us are gonna survive. Somebody point me to where Donald Trump has gotten anywhere near thinking like this or any of us.”

Returning to the discussion on FNC, Watters continued by highlighting another part of the manifesto that’s been virtually ignored by the media.
“And then at the end of the thing, he says this: All of my ideologies predated Donald Trump and his campaign for president. I’ve had my immigration opinions for years. This has nothing to do with Donald Trump, yet the media directly links him,” Watters noted.
Also true.
“My ideology has not changed for several years. My opinions on automation, immigration, and the rest predate Trump and his campaign for president,” the actual manifesto reads.
But there’s more: As noted next by fellow “The Five” co-host Dana Perino, white supremacist terrorism has been a concern for far longer than Trump has been in office.
“Domestic terrorism linked to white nationalism has actually — setting aside people who died in America on 9/11 — is on the increase. The FBI in almost every report, and the Department of Homeland Security, have since 2004 said that our biggest concern in America is this big ideology,” she said.
Also true.
Yet the media would have you believe that the sick ideology practiced by the El Paso shooter is a newfound one that spawned because of the president’s allegedly racist rhetoric. Never mind that the president has issued a forceful statement denouncing white supremacism.
“In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry, and white supremacy,” he said Monday. “These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America. Hatred warps the mind, ravages the heart, and devours the soul.”

But this too has been dismissed by the far-left.
“Listening to the president. Such a bullshit soup of ineffective words. This is so weak. We should quickly condemn his lack of a real plan,” Democrat presidential candidate Cory Booker reportedly said in response to the president’s statement.

It appears that the far-left, including the media, have already decided that it’s appropriate to blame the El Paso shooting on the president, never mind the actual facts.
