The backstory on Dayton killer Connor Betts continues to get more disturbing. The self-proclaimed socialist, pro-Satan, Elizabeth Warren supporter was vocalist in “pornogrind” metal bands that performed songs about sexual violence and necrophilia.
In the last year, Betts sang with groups called Putrid Liquid and Menstrual Munchies in regular performances in the Midwest, according to BuzzFeed News. His most recent appearance with Menstrual Munchies was at the Summer Massacre 2 concert in Chicago, June 29.
Pornogrind is an extreme heavy-metal genre that glorifies gore and sexual mayhem.
Buzzfeed reported that Menstrual Munchies has produced a number of sick titles …
The band’s song titles are explicitly sexually violent, such as “Preteen Daughter Pu$$y Slaughter” and “Cunt Stuffed With Medical Waste – Sexual Abuse Of A Teenage Corpse.” The album art is equally explicit. One album cover shows a woman consuming feces, while another shows an illustration of a young woman’s headless body chained to a bed, covered in blood, as a man puts his pants back on.
The band’s online music, its Facebook page, and YouTube accounts have been taken down since the shooting early Sunday morning outside a bar in Dayton, Ohio, that killed 9 and wounded 27.
Putrid Liquid bandmates have not spoken to the press and their music remains online on Bandcamp, a site where musicians can sell their productions.
One of Betts’ bandmates in Menstrual Munchies is disgusted by the atrocity telling Vice News that the music was never meant to be taken literally. He said that he has removed the band’s recordings from their online platforms because he does not want the music to make a cult hero out of Betts.
The Dayton killer was in a band called Menstrual Munchies which released albums like “6 Ways of Female Butchery” with cover art showing the rape and mutilation of female bodies.

“I feel shitty having let him be in the band, doing those lyrics,” Creekbaum told Vice News. “Because I know, like, whereas I saw it as a joke — like, ‘Let’s play this and we’ll shock some people,’ and then the people that we know laugh — he didn’t see it as a joke. He was like, ‘Fuck, yeah. We’re gonna do this.’”
Creekbaum is requesting that anyone who has hosted his songs or videos to remove them.
“I’m trying to get everyone I know to take all of it down,” he said. “I don’t want to be associated with it. I don’t want it blowing up. I don’t want him romanticized. I don’t want any of this romanticized. I want people to erase him from history.”
Anti-Second Amendment
The hardcore leftist Betts, who is rumored to have been a member of Antifa, was “anti-Second Amendment.” A former classmate and friend told the Dayton Daily News that Betts “never spit out a conservative opinion on gun control.”
High school classmate Will El-Fakir told the Daily News that he cut ties with the 24-year-old Betts five months ago after he held a gun to his head.
Betts was “definitely not a right-leaning person. His political views definitely leaned to the left. And believe it or not, he was actually pro-gun control. He was actually anti-Second Amendment,” said El-Fakir. “I don’t know if this is the motive that made him snap.”
El-Fakir said Betts was recently becoming violent with friends and that he assessed bars as good places to do “damage.”
