Liz Cheney, House GOP Conference Chairwoman, kneecapped Sen. Bernie Sanders with a fierce, multi-pronged tweet on Friday after Sanders came to Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s defense and her espousing a “no first use” nuclear weapons policy in this week’s Democratic primary debate.
Cheney is the third-ranking House Republican and the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney. She wrote: “No surprise commie @BernieSanders, who honeymooned in Soviet Union, is ok with U.S. getting attacked first. (On a side note, he seems to have daddy issues…with my daddy.)

You gotta’ love it when Republicans proudly stand up to be counted and let the lefties know they are full of crap.
The Twitter conflict is traced back to debate moderator Jake Tapper’s question of the candidates whether they, as president, will declare the U.S. would never be the first to use nuclear weapons in a war. Sen. Warren is the only candidate who directly replied that she would adopt that policy.
“President Obama reportedly considered that policy,” Tapper pointed out to Warren, “but ultimately decided against it. Why should the U.S. tie its own hands with that policy?”
“Because it makes the world safer,” Warren claimed in her response. “The United States is not going to use nuclear weapons preemptively and we need to say so to the entire world. It reduces the likelihood that someone miscalculates, that someone misunderstands. Our first responsibility is to keep ourselves safe. And what’s happening right now with Donald Trump is they keep expanding the different ways we have nuclear weapons. The different ways that they can be used puts us all at risk.”
It was that those comments that had Cheney the very next day asking, “Key question for Elizabeth Warren @ewarren today – which American cities and how many American citizens are you willing to sacrifice with your policy of forcing the US to absorb a nuclear attack before we can strike back?

Sanders jumped in online, and not for the first time, tried to tie Rep. Cheney to her father–who of course served in the Bush administration that executed the War on Terror after the 9/11 attacks on U.S. soil. “Taking national security advice from a Cheney has already caused irreparable damage to our country. We don’t need any more, thanks,” tweeted Sanders.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, another socialist-commie-democrat, also attacked Cheney and her father with this …
MFW *Liz Cheney* of all people tries to offer foreign policy takes, as if an entire generation hasn’t lived through the Cheneys sending us into war since we were kids: https://t.co/xrOCN1c9OI pic.twitter.com/8Hoq1NbMC9

Earlier this year, Sanders was criticized by some for sexist attacks on Cheney after he similarly attacked Liz Cheney when she promised to fight against the “fraud of socialism,” and attempted to assign blame to her for something he held her father in contempt for. In January, Sanders tweeted: “Rep. Liz Cheney, daughter of Dick Cheney, yesterday attacked ‘the fraud of socialism.’ Really? I wasn’t aware that it was ‘socialism’ that lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and got us into a horrific war that we should never have started.”

On a side note, it’s apparent that far-lefty candidates Sanders and Warren have an agreement of some sort not to to attack each other, while the rest of the field of Democrats seeking the 2020 nomination try to eat each other alive.
