Team Trump knows a gift when they see one.
Pro-Trump beauty queen Kathy Zhu was recently stripped of her Miss Michigan title by the Miss World America pageant after being accused of posting racist comments on social media.
Her tweets were allegedly “offensive, insensitive, and inappropriate,” according to the pageant, but President Donald Trump faces similar accusations on a daily basis.
But Zhu just retained a brand new title, that being a new member of the Women For Trump Coalition Advisory Board.

Trump’s reelection campaign announced Thursday that the beauty queen is now part of the team.
“Team Trump welcomes Kathy Zhu to the Official Women for Trump Coalition Advisory Board! [Kathy] is a patriot who has continued to stand for American values despite being stripped of her crown. Thank you for your support of President,” read a tweet from the president’s campaign.
The Women for Trump Coalition Advisory Board is an official arm of the Trump 2020 reelection campaign.
The organization’s goal is to “empower women to re-elect President Donald J. Trump by sharing their experiences and successes during the Trump administration.
Zhu, eager to reelect the president, is thrilled to be on board.
“I am so excited to now be part of the #WomenforTrump Coalition Advisory Board! Let’s get Trump re-elected for 2020 ???,” she tweeted.

Zhu, an outspoken conservative student at the University of Michigan, immigrated to the U.S. from China as a child.
She took to Twitter to say a big part of the reasoning she lost her title was because she refused to “try on a hijab” while attending classes at the University of Central Florida and for commenting on back-on-black crime in another tweet.
“There’s a ‘try a hijab on’ booth at my college campus,” Zhu tweeted in Feb. 2018. “So you’re telling me that it’s now just a fashion accessory and not a religious thing? Or are you just trying to get women used to being oppressed under Islam?”

The latter tweet was in response to a social media user criticizing police for killing young black men.
“Did you know the majority of black deaths are caused by other blacks? Fix problems within your own community first before blaming others,” Zhu tweeted in Oct 2017.
Of course, there are those who argue that Zhu was stripped of her title because she’s a Trump supporter.
People like Canadian-American singer and model Kaya Jones, who shared a video of a talented Zhu playing the national anthem on a violin.

While the left was quick to spew hatred, Zhu saw plenty of support on social media.
Here’s a sampling of the responses from Twitter:
Congratulations Kathy! Good things come to those who stand up for their beliefs, no matter the cost.
