Tucker Carlson reveals stunning new allegations on Rep. Ilhan Omar’s ‘bizarre’ marital history

The “bizarre” circumstances marking Rep. Ilhan Omar’s convoluted marital history, to include persistent allegations that she married her biological brother, are readily dismissed by a complicit media, which cites little more than a firm denial from the Democratic lawmaker from Minnesota.

But Fox News’ Tucker Carlson not only focused on this allegation Thursday night on “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” he revealed even more scandalous details being reported.

The subject of Omar’s marriages was pushed to the fore Wednesday when President Trump was asked about it by a reporter.

“Well, there’s a lot of talk about the fact that she was married to her brother,” Trump replied. “I know nothing about it. I hear she was married to her brother. You’re asking me a question about it — I don’t know, but I’m sure that somebody will be looking at that.”

Citing an investigative report from PJ Media’s David Steinberg, Carlson commented on the rumor Omar married her brother before revealing an equally stunning claim that she’s not who she claims to be.

Steinberg cites multiple sources within the Minneapolis Somali community to say that one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress took on the Omar name to enter the United States

More from Steinberg, as seen in the Powerline blog:

In 1995, Ilhan entered the United States as a fraudulent member of the “Omar” family.

That is not her family. The Omar family is a second, unrelated family which was being granted asylum by the United States. The Omars allowed Ilhan, her genetic sister Sahra, and her genetic father Nur Said to use false names to apply for asylum as members of the Omar family.

Ilhan’s genetic family split up at this time. The above three received asylum in the United States, while Ilhan’s three other siblings — using their real names — managed to get asylum in the United Kingdom.

Ilhan Abdullahi Omar’s name, before applying for asylum, was Ilhan Nur Said Elmi.

Steinberg does not pull any punches when it comes to the implications of Omar’s actions, if true.

He wrote: “To be clear: The facts describe perhaps the most extensive spree of illegal misconduct committed by a House member in American history.”

As Carlson noted, the claims are unproven and Omar has denied that she married her brother — allegedly to commit immigration fraud, allowing him to come to the U.S.

“Omar has denied the story, but she hasn’t disproved it,” he said. “The Minneapolis Star Tribune, Omar’s local newspaper…, has tried to investigate the matter. They say they can neither confirm or rebut the allegation. Omar is not participating.”

He goes on to say that Omar refused to even share the full names of family members.

It’s also important to take into consideration that no member of Omar’s family has ever refuted the claim.

“It is all bizarre. But deserves to be investigated,” Carlson concluded. “There is far more smoke here than there ever was for the idea that, say, the president colluded with Russia.”

There is also the overlooked reports that Omar filed a joint tax return with the father of her three children while she was married to the man who may be her brother.

The Twitter account “Trump War Room,” which is linked to the president’s reelection campaign, tweeted the Powerline story and included the hashtag: “#InvestigateIlhan!”
