White supremacists and white nationalists were all but nonexistent in the news cycle prior to President Donald Trump moving into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
But for the elevated attention the media has given a handful of extremists in their quest to denigrate the president, that would likely still be the case today.
Enter CNN.
With Democrats and the liberal media in an uproar over the president calling out the “squad” of four radical freshman lawmakers for their contempt for America, an effort centered on labeling Trump a racist, CNN gave white nationalist Richard Spencer air time to express his displeasure with President Trump for not doing more to establish white dominance in America.
Seriously.
This coming from the same cabal that condemned Trump for “trying to legitimize fringe political allies.”
CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy made that charge in response to last week’s social media summit at the White House
In an effort to distract from a focus on anti-conservative bias on social media, Oliver condemned the White House for allowing “a conspiracy theorist, a meme creator and a plagiarist” to attend the summit — conservatives on social media have proven to be an effective counter to the liberal media’s preferred narrative, which explains Darcy looking down his nose.
Trump inviting right-wing extremists/trolls to the White House is maybe the clearest example of him seeking to validate fringe political allies. He's also boosting those people, of course, while working simultaneously to tear down legitimate news orgs. It's alarming & dangerous. pic.twitter.com/ADwvQ5rZh0

Of course, the social media summit wasn’t broadcast on national television like the spot featuring Richard Spencer.
CNN endeavored to showcase support for Trump’s tweets from white supremacists to further taint the president and Spencer had tweeted about them.
“With a single tweet, Trump was able to win back the sizeable deluded portion of the Alt-Right, eager to take another trip on the merry-go-round,” he tweeted.
The focus has been on the president telling the four radical Democrats to “go back” to where they came from, but the scenario Trump laid out included a remark about them coming back — his bare-knuckle message being that they have no track record to be lecturing others on how to run the country.
“Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came,” Trump said in a tweet. “Then come back and show us how it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough.”
CNN has all but dedicated 24/7 coverage to destroying President Trump, and even though the network is getting destroyed in the ratings game, featuring Spencer is the latest indication that they will stop at nothing to achieve their goal.
Ratings and journalist integrity come a distant second to preventing Donald Trump from being reelected.
Here’s a sampling of reactions to the network’s desperate hypocrisy from Twitter:
Providing Richard Spencer ample national airtime is a travesty and is rightly receiving the universal condemnation it deserves: https://t.co/sUZ4mAZUQZ

Richard Spencer is such a vile white supremacist, he's been banned from the majority of European countries.
And yet, he's always allowed to visit CNN.

Today on its valuable airwaves, CNN gave a platform to white nationalist Richard Spencer. There is literally nothing productive Spencer brings to the conversation. Whoever made this shameful decision should be fired. https://t.co/rKTTyc1OUY pic.twitter.com/o060SS47ZD

The left calls Fox News and Donald Trump “racist,” but even they won’t entertain white-nationalist Richard Spencer— like CNN and Jake Tapper just did. Shameful. pic.twitter.com/jSz3yy5oMq

Meanwhile, @CNN was allowing Richard Spencer to dress up in his pundit outfit and use their airwaves to share his crappy opinions. Pretty ironic that on a day they’re fully devoting to calling Trump racist, they themselves give a platform to a horrendous racist.

When you are so desperate to constantly attack Trump that you’ll bring on Richard Spencer to tell you what you want to hear.

Everyone should know that the best way to oppose white nationalists is to never hear anything they ever say

Nobody even knew who Richard Spencer was until the media dug him up and blasted his name everywhere.
The elevation of white supremacy during Trump’s presidency is in full part due to the MSM.— Aaron (@MadMaxwellll) July 17, 2019
