The “squad” of four radical freshman Democrats have a dangerous habit of wanting to dictate what is or isn’t acceptable in American politics, mandates made by those who look at life through the lens of color — as in the color of your skin.
Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., have become the face of the Democratic Party and the progressive ideologues cast themselves in the role of victims Monday during a news conference to respond to President Trump calling them out for their abject contempt for America.
At the media spectacle, Pressley accused President Trump of challenging the notion that the country belongs to everyone — including illegal immigrants, apparently — but just a few days ago the lawmaker was challenging the idea that Congress belongs to those with varying opinions.
Speaking at Netroots Nation, an annual conference for the progressive left, Pressley took identity politics to another level while taking a shot at the Congressional Black Conference.
The CBC hit the progressive group Justice Democrats, co-founded by Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff, for going after incumbent black Democrats deemed not radical enough.
“I don’t want to bring a chair to an old table,” she said. “This is the time to shake the table.”
How’s that for revolutionary talk?
Pressley then clarified that she was speaking about race, suggesting that the race of a member of Congress should dictate the concerns that person represents — of course, those concerns must meet the hard-left’s criteria.
“This is the time to redefine that table,” she continued. “Because if you’re going to come to this table, all of you who have aspirations of running for office, if you’re not prepared to come to that table and represent that voice, don’t come, because we don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice. We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice. We don’t need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don’t want to be a queer voice.”
“If you’re worried about being marginalized and stereotyped, please don’t even show up because we need you to represent that voice.”
Pressley recently showcased an example of the “voice” she speaks of.
As America celebrated it’s hard fought victory over Britain to gain its independence, the hard-left Democrat took to Twitter to trash both our Founding Fathers and the Declaration of Independence.
Linking to a Salon hit piece titled, “The Declaration of Independence is sexist, racist, prejudiced,” a sitting member of Congress all but spit on her country on the Fourth of July.
Pressley tweeted: “The impact of the prejudices, biases & contradictions codified by our founding fathers is still felt today. We continue to struggle as a nation to embrace our full history, one that includes family separation of black families at the auction block & today of migrants at camps.”
This being the sentiment that President Trump is calling out about these radicals, along with their intolerance for anyone who fails to share their views.
The president was persistent in claiming they do not love their country, and a quick perusal of the Twitter feed of any of the four freshman will confirm that assessment.
