Anderson Cooper’s CNN opinion show erupted into identity politics again after Wajahat Ali — a Trump-hating blogger with the New York Times — basically called Hispanic business executive Steve Cortes an Uncle Tom for supporting President Trump.
The debate heated up after Cortes said that while Trump’s tweets about the Far-Left Squad of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley was ill-advised, it wasn’t racist.
Steve Cortes: Trump’s tweet never mentioned race
Anderson Cooper said because the four newbie members of the left-wing “Squad” are minorities, that automatically means Trump’s tweet was racist.
Cortes pointed out that Trump never mentioned anyone’s color.
“I’m not defending the tweet. It was illogical,” Cortes said. “It was divisive. I would like him to retract or clarify…[but] he didn’t mention color.”

Cortes: Denouncing all Trump supporters is bigotry
Cortes added: “I did not appreciate what the president did and I’m willing to say so as a supporter of his. I also want to call out the demagoguery and prejudice of Democratic politicians and their media allies in their insane overreaction to this tweet.”
Cortes noted that the media and the left’s defamation of all Trump supporters as racist is the very definition of bigotry.
“To call me — to call tens of millions of Trump supporters racist — to dismiss us, to dehumanize us, and marginalize us, that’s bigotry!” Cortes underscored.

Ali: Trump supporters are racist
Predictably, Wajahat Ali — an outspoken, grievance-mongering Muslim — slammed President Trump as a racist white nationalist and said all his supporters are bigots.
Ali quipped: “If you’re unwilling to acknowledge and call out racism..that makes you complicit. You might not be a racist, but if you’re fine with endorsing and supporting a racist president, you have to look yourself in the mirror right now in 2019 and ask yourself, ‘Is it worth it? Why am I supporting a racist president?'”

Ali to Cortes: White nationalists will never love you
Ali then suggested that Steve Cortes — a successful Hispanic-American businessman — is an Uncle Tom because he supports his president.
“They’ll never love you!” Ali scoffed to Cortes. “The white nationalists will never love you, no matter how hard you try to be the Latin face of Trump, they’ll never love you!”
Cortes fired back: “That’s demagoguery! Stop saying it’s about white nationalism. I support American nationalism! This is you being bigoted toward me. To talk to me in that condescending manner that presupposes that I’m not a thinking, independent brown citizen of the United States [is what’s racist].”
Cortes to Ali: Stop race-baiting all the time
Shortly afterward, Steve Cortes clapped back at Ali on Twitter: “Tonight, my CNN colleague Wajahat Al resorted to the most racist and condescending insult I’ve ever heard, telling me “they will never love you.”
Cortes added: “Unlike you, Wajahat Ali, I don’t view all politics through the prism of race. I oppose the radical ideas of those Congresswomen, not their race. I similarly reject your bigotry toward the millions in our movement, and not your ethnicity.”

Democrat: Blacks and Muslims should only care about themselves
Essentially, what the left wants is for all “brown,” “black,” and “Muslim” people to only support other black, brown and Muslim people — and who cares about white Americans or Asian-Americans?
Of course, the illogical part of this is that if all white people only backed white politicians, the entire U.S. government would be white. Why? Non-Hispanic whites still make up 60% of the U.S. population. Let that sink in.
Hey Trump supporters: The Left will never love you
By the same token, here’s a message for President Trump and his millions of supporters: The Left will never love YOU and will always call you racist (even if you’re a minority). So stand by your convictions, because even if you cave into today’s Alt-Left, they will never accept you.
Remember: Today’s racist Left doesn’t want unity; it demands capitulation.
Rep Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) “We don’t need any more brown faces that don’t want to be a brown voice. We don’t need black faces that don’t want to be a black voice. We don’t need Muslims that don’t want to be a Muslim voice. We don’t need queers that don’t want to be a queer voice” pic.twitter.com/2NIj5Vvcor
