Fox News’ Starnes to Omar: Buy a ‘one-way plane ticket back to whatever third world hellhole you came from’

Fox News’ Todd Starnes had a blunt suggestion for Rep. Ilhan Omar and other ungrateful immigrants who regularly bash America.

The host of “The Todd Starnes Radio Show” and “Starnes Country” on Fox Nation called out the Minnesota Democrat and others who find that the country that welcomed them in as refugees and immigrants “just doesn’t meet their standards of living.”

“Folks, we’ve got a responsibility to stand up to the Orwellian tactics of the leftists and defend liberty,” Starnes said on the Fox News subscription-based Fox Nation program.

“Otherwise, the cultural jihadists will conquer the nation,” he added before addressing Omar.

“As for congresswoman Omar and other immigrants who find that America, well, just doesn’t meet their standards of living, might I suggest this? How about a one-way plane ticket back to whatever third world hellhole you came from,” Starnes offered.

“And don’t let the door hit you where the good Lord split you,” he added, concluding the segment in which he had focused on the “relentless attacks on American traditions.”

Starnes spoke about his upcoming book, “Culture Jihad: How to Stop the Left From Killing a Nation,” drawing attention to what he called “culture jihadists” who make up a “militant army of secularists, socialists and race agitators.”

“I titled my book ‘Culture Jihad’ because it is a call to arms for every freedom-loving American — Christians and Jews, straight and gay, black and white and brown,” Starnes said, noting that the left is upset with President Trump because they have no interest in making America great again.

In fact, according to Starnes, “they want to destroy America so they can build a socialist utopia.”

The remarks by Starnes come after Fox News host Tucker Carlson called out Omar as an example of why the current American immigration system is “dangerous.”

Carlson pointed to a recent story on Omar in  The Washington Post, saying it showed that she was “enraged” by America as she did not accept the premise that America is a “bighearted country that saved her from a brutal war and oblique refugee camp.”

“Omar isn’t disappointed in America. She’s enraged by it,” Carlson said. “That should worry you, and not just because Omar is a sitting member of Congress. Ilhan Omar is living proof that the way we practice immigration has become dangerous to this country.”

The freshman congresswoman blasted the Fox News host as a “racist fool” following his monologue, prompting return fire by Carlson who addressed her claims of racism and the effort to get him fired. He also took viewers on a trip through some of the Democrat’s more extreme views.

“No country can survive being ruled by people who hate it. We deserve better. For all of our country’s flaws, this is still the best place in the world. Most immigrants know that. That’s why they come here,” he said.

Meanwhile, Starnes aimed his remarks at the Minnesota lawmaker amid a vote by a city in her district that voted recently to stop saying the Pledge of Allegiance before every meeting in the name of diversity.

Starnes suggestion that the Somali refugee return to her home country if she is that unhappy with the U.S. sparked plenty of reaction on Twitter.
