The Russians are coming! Harris claims her 2020 campaign is already being targeted by foreign bots

Appearing on the iHeartRadio’s “The Breakfast Club” on Friday, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) kicked Russia fear-mongering into high gear.

The 2020 Democrat candidate claimed her campaign has already been targeted by Russian bots and she seemed to be warning American voters that the Russians are already influencing the 2020 presidential election.

Angela Yee, one of the radio show’s hosts, went into interference into the 2016 presidential election and asked Harris at one point if her campaign has been targeted and Harris was more than happy to confirm.

“Well, we already know we are,” she said. She also agreed with co-host Charlamagne tha God’s statement that Trump’s presidential victory was “illegitimate.”

The senator added, “We have to pay attention to that stuff and know that it’s not going to necessarily be real people doing it. It’ll be others and those [Russian] bots that stir it up to the point that it generates heat and then people start getting swept into it, right?”

In a truly bizarre moment, Harris suggested that outrage over athletes like Colin Kaepernick kneeling for the national anthem “wasn’t a thing.” She dismissed anyone actually upset about the controversy by saying it may have simply been birthed out of Russian bots.

Enough with the “Russian bots” narrative already. Election interference can be defined so loosely that almost anyone can say their political campaign has been hacked or interfered with. At this point, unless another government is literally changing people’s votes, let’s hold back the whining. Harris hasn’t even earned her party’s nomination and she’s already setting herself up for a position where she can say Trump only beat her because of Russian bots. Oh, please.

Harris hit plenty of other extreme leftist points while she was on “The Breakfast Club” on Friday. At one point, the senator and former prosecutor claimed that women “will die” if states are allowed to impose restrictions on abortion.

In the wide-ranging interview, Harris also went after Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for her recent feud with freshman members of Congress like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

“I think she is bold and smart as anything,” Harris said of AOC. “She’s not gonna go with status quo because that’s the way it’s always been done. She questions it, and I think that’s healthy. I think that’s healthy and then if you can defend what we’ve always been doing, then that’s great. And if you can’t because it’s based on stuff that is faulty or it’s older and it’s not happening anymore, then answer for that.”

Harris did stop short, however, of suggesting that Pelosi is racially-motivated in her comments about AOC and others.

“That’s not my experience with Nancy Pelosi and I’ve known her and worked with her for years. I’ve known her to be very respectful of women of color and very supportive of them, so I have a different experience,” she said.

President Donald Trump has a very different view of the feud and he told reporters that he feels AOC is not showing proper respect to Pelosi.

“I think Cortez is being very disrespectful to somebody that’s been there a long time. I deal with Nancy Pelosi a lot, and we go back and forth and it’s fine. But I think that a group of people is being very disrespectful to her, and you know what? I don’t think that Nancy can let that go on,” the president said.
