Jessica Tarlov: ‘Plenty’ of Trump supporters ‘would be thrilled’ to see me sexually assaulted

One of the few things that exceeds the toxic resistance to President Donald Trump is the hatred directed at the president’s supporters.

In a discussion on gay conservative journalist Andy Ngo being seriously beaten by the domestic terrorist group Antifa in Portland, Democratic strategist Jessica Tarlov almost reluctantly admitted that the “violence obviously goes too far here.”

Appearing on Fox News Channel’s “Outnumbered,” Tarlov said there are complaints from both sides on the issue, though it’s hard to recall the last time a liberal member of the press was admitted to the hospital after being set upon by violent activists.

To support her assertion, Tarlov claimed there are “plenty” of Trump supporters who would “be thrilled to see me dragged by a truck or sexually assaulted.”

It was disheartening to see no one on the trademark couch push back at such an outrageous accusation.

The liberal political consultant said it was an “incredibly sensitive” issue, and that “none of this is right,” before saying the right uses attacks by the left as an excuse to not address their own issues — she then cited the FBI to say “all the domestic terror attacks in the last couple years were committed by right wing extremists.”

This may be a good time to note that only a few Democratic presidential candidates have condemned the attack on Ngo, and most LGBT organizations have been equally silent.

Tarlov characterized this as being “dangerous,” adding that we’re “talking about Andy Ngo and we’re not talking about what happens in America constantly.”

“I think what’s dangerous is when, and I heard it earlier today, that this violence and Antifa is a reaction to Trump or what’s happening on the right. I heard people say that. I don’t think that’s fair,” co-host Melissa Francis interjected.

There was some discussion about how some on the left seem to believe that violence is an acceptable alternative when someone disagrees with their opinion, suggesting they provoked it.

Panelist Tomi Lahren pointed to her own experiences and recalled the infamous words from Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., about targeting Trump supporters.

“I would implore you to look at my Twitter feed and see what people say to me as a liberal who works at a conservative network,” Tarlov countered. “I’m just saying, there are plenty of right wingers and Trump supporters who’d be thrilled to see me dragged by a truck or sexually assaulted. They’ve said it —“

At this point, Francis jumped in to say, “Hang on, let’s take this down a notch. Hang on.”

But she proceeded to clarify that no one on the right brings violence on themselves because of their beliefs, without commenting on the Tarlov’s egregious smearing of people who vote for Trump.

For what it’s worth, the look on Lahren’s face suggested she wanted to speak out.

And while Tarlov agrees with Francis, she then characterized the Antifa attack on Ngo as “a complete outlier,” before returning to her campaign of trying to shift the focus to domestic terror attacks by “right-wing extremists.”

A campaign that went unopposed.
