Rashida Tlaib loses composure after engaging with unruly protesters

When a group of far-left Democratic lawmakers visited several migrant detention centers on Monday, an incident involving Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., engaging with protesters got little media coverage amid farcical claims of migrants being forced to drink from toilets.

The entourage held a news conference at the Clint, Texas border migrant detention center and were opposed by a boisterous group of protesters, who tried to shout the lawmakers down. As Tlaib spoke, a man is heard saying he doesn’t want sharia law — there were also reports of inappropriate slurs regarding her Muslim faith, though it’s difficult to pick up on them in the available clips.

Either way, Tlaib chose to take on the crowd directly and lost her composure in the process.

“I will out-love your hate,” Tlaib screamed. “I will always put my country first, unlike you all do!”

The Democrat was angrily pounding on the podium as she spoke about love.

“And I’ll tell you this, Veronica Escobar is the best goddamn… Congress member from this district and you all can say whatever you want,” she railed, almost incoherent in her rage.

“You all may try to out-scream me, but I will not stop speaking truth to power,” Tlaib angrily decried, before walking away from the podium.

Her “truth to power” resulted in the freshman lawmaker calling President Donald Trump a “motherf–ker” while speaking with supporters her very first week in office.

Quick to accuse anyone who criticizes her sexist or an Islamophobic, Tlaib, who has called for abolishing ICE, claiming agents are “terrorizing our communities,” sought the last word on Twitter.

“Even through the hateful slurs, I won’t back down,” she tweeted. “We went in there to be the eyes for the American people, to tell the truth about what is happening w/ children & families at the border. This system is broken & throwing money at it won’t work.

With all the grandstanding going on Monday, with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., leading the way with now-debunked wild claim that federal agents were telling migrants to drink out of the toilet, there was some irony in Tlaib naming Escobar.

The Washington Examiner reported Monday a Border Patrol official familiar with the sector’s media and congressional visits said Rep. Escobar has visited the facility “15 times,” but did not respond in the manner seen Monday by the others.

Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, and a group of pastors toured the same migrant detention facilities on Friday and came away with an entirely different take.

“We found no soiled diapers, no deplorable conditions and no lack of basic necessities,” Rodriguez said Monday during a press conference.

Yet, Tlaib took to Twitter earlier in the day to declare, Kathy Griffin-like, that the eyes of one father “broke me.”

Tlaib’s reaction to the protesters prompted a social media user to summarize: “CAN YOU SAY FULL BLOWN CR@ZY…”
