CAIR leader goes after Michelle Malkin for launching GoFundMe effort for battered Andy Ngo

Quillette editor Andy Ngo was brutally beaten by the domestic terrorist group Antifa on Saturday while covering a protest in Portland, resulting in the battered journalist being hospitalized with a brain bleed.

The Antifa thugs turned out in force to counter a protest by the controversial Proud Boys group, and a disturbing video of their attack went viral.

Ngo’s violent beat down occurred with the Portland Bureau of Police missing in action — more progressive policing? —  and because he is a gay conservative, the response by many has been to mock and ridicule the reporter.

Zakir Khan, the leader of the Portland Council on American-Islamic Relations, was one of those who mocked Ngo.

The reference to conservative pundit Michelle Malkin being in response to her starting a GoFundMe page for Ngo.

“Please help raise money for his security and medical needs, and to help him replace his stolen equipment. Every cent goes directly to Andy,” the page states.

Not only was Ngo beaten, his GoPro camera was reportedly stolen by the Antifa thugs.

The campaign set a goal of  $50,000, but as of this writing, it has exceeded $134,000.

This assist didn’t go over well with Khan –who’s not entirely a fool, as he’s was smart enough to block the firebrand conservative who doesn’t back down — naturally, Khan claimed it was a result of receiving death threats because of Malkin.

To get a feel for how much of a Kool-Aid drinker Khan is, after Ngo was admitted to the hospital overnight, the CAIR official was online questioning whether the injured writer was really a journalist — as if there’s any credibility attached to the term these days.

“It’s weird that even Fox News describes Andy in a better way than everyone else right now: ‘One of those injured was Andy Ngo, a conservative writer who appeared to have been attacked by Antifa members, the Oregonian reported.’ Notice the word journalist does not appear there,” Khan tweeted.

Fittingly, Khan is a communications professor at Linn-Benton Community College, in Albany, Oregan.

And not only did he question Ngo’s legitimacy, Khan called for the injured man to be doxxed.

“I encourage every Portland journalist to share their story of Andy Ngo’s harassment,” he tweeted.

Khan was also obsessed with reports that the milk shakes being thrown on Saturday had “quick-drying cement” mix in them — a very Antifa thing to do.

The CAIR official tweeted or retweeted about this more than a dozen times, mocking the report. One such example is seen below.

“If you’re drinking a milkshake in downtown Portland today you may get stopped by PPB. It’s reasonable suspicion that you’re drinking cement,” he tweeted.

Khan also defended Antifa in expressing his rage over Malkin’s involvement — heaven forbid she try to help Ngo, who she called a “friend” in the GoFundMe effort, as well as “one of the intrepid journalists doing the job no one else will do.”

Meanwhile, others are rally to Ngo’s side, such as Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who called on the Justice Department to intervene in Antifa’s reign of terror.

“Andy, we won’t stop until these domestic terrorists, these cowards in face masks are brought to justice. The DOJ must step up—use RICO if necessary,” Ingraham tweeted.
