Somehow, you can almost sense a coming “battle royale” between the Democratic Party and the hard left progressive caucus, who may one day soon stop playing nice with Pelosi and Co.
Every so often, the radical elements of the party get impatient and their true nature surfaces, that being an aggressive intolerance toward anyone who fails to fall in line with their destructive agenda, as seen in a tweet by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff.
A tweet that was quickly deleted.
“Instead of ‘fiscally conservative but socially liberal,’ let’s call the New Democrats and Blue Dog Caucus the ‘New Southern Democrats.’ They certainly seem hell bent to do to black and brown people today what the old Southern Democrats did the 40s,” Saikat Chakrabarti tweeted.
Whoa. @AOC’s chief just deleted this. pic.twitter.com/xRJphPAkwb

He would explain in a response to another social media user that “some progressives took it as a personal insult.”
Me neither, but some progressives took it as a personal insult. So I wanted to make clear that you can enable racism without personally hating brown people.

The tweet was in reference to the House passing a $4.6 billion emergency funding bill to deal with the overwhelming wave of humanity on the southern border that is taxing Border Patrol beyond its capabilities.
Illegal immigrants are flooding the border at a clip of better than 100,000 a month — somewhere around 140,000 were apprehended in May.
Progressives not only want open borders, they appear to oppose any orderly way of processing the invasion of illegal immigrants. And to push that point, as Chakrabarti demonstrated, you are a racist who hates brown people if you disagree.
Chakrabarti represents the “force” behind Ocasio-Cortez, whose job appears to be to distract the media while this cabal works feverishly in the background. He was quick to save face after attacking “New Democrats” and the “Blue Dog Caucus” — this being centrist Democrats who support a more moderate fiscal position on policy.
Repeating the ignorant claim Ocasio-Cortez made, or was fed, about “concentration camps” on the southern border, Chakrabarti essentially doubled down on the deleted tweet with a series of posts responding to others.
Tweets that he must feel were a little less toxic — his intended targets may disagree.
“Can we stop calling the Blue Dog Caucus ‘fiscally conservative but socially liberal?'” he tweeted. “I missed the part of fiscal conservativeness or social liberalness that includes wasting $4.5 billion of taxpayer money to put kids in concentration camps.”
Can we stop calling the Blue Dog Caucus "fiscally conservative but socially liberal?" I missed the part of fiscal conservativeness or social liberalness that includes wasting $4.5 billion of taxpayer money to put kids in concentration camps.

Again, for the hard-left, border security and the belief in state sovereignty is all about hating brown people — assuming, of course, that said “brown people” have a proclivity to vote for socialist policy.
Chakrabarti noted that not all old Blue Dog Democrats were Jim Crow supporters as he complained that moderates today are criminalizing more brown people.

He also pressed on his initial attack on the more moderate elements of the party.
“Anyway I deleted the tweet since, yeah, I’m mad,” he explained. “But I do think if we don’t have progress on racial justice it will be because of the new Dems and blue dogs. Just like in 1940.”

Speaking of “brown people,” turns out the Democratic Blue Dog Caucus co-chair is Vietnamese American Rep. Stephanie Murphy, D-Fla.

The criticism came from all sides, with some suggesting Chakrabarti should stick to downing cheeseburgers, cow farts and all.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
He should shut up and eat his burger.

Not as offensive to her base as the time he ate a cheeseburger.

Y’all are just the gang who can’t shoot straight. Consider the possibility that if you’re constantly clarifying, you either suck at communicating or people just aren’t buying what you’re selling.

I love @AOC but this chief of staff is immature, petulant, and needs to read up on history before making such divisive statements. #GrowTheFuckUp!!

Jesus christ the new leftists are delusional. You always think they’ve found the bottom and then they just keep on going. When Bernie loses this site is going to melt down https://t.co/kpFDLqolpH
