Another day, another media narrative shot to pieces. Contradicting the media-driven myth that all Latino-Americans love illegal immigration and oppose the border wall, a fired-up crowd at the Latinos for Trump rally in Miami, Florida chanted, “Build the wall!”
The chants occurred during Vice President Mike Pence‘s speech, where he said:
“Latino and Hispanic Americans believe in law and order. And we support our law enforcement. This president knows that a nation without borders is not a nation.”
Latino community is the hardest-hit by mass illegal immigration
The pumped-up audience also cheered for ICE when Pence said President Trump supports the hard-working men and women at ICE and Border Patrol, who uphold national security.
Numerous studies show that Latino-Americans are the most negatively impacted by the influx of illegal immigrants into the United States.
“President Donald Trump is the best friend that Latino and Hispanic businesses have ever had in the White House,” Pence said.
At another point during Pence’s speech, attendees got riled up when the vice president mentioned Democratic obstructionism of President Trump’s efforts to stem the border crisis.
“We are on track this year for nearly a million people coming across our border,” Pence said. “It’s amazing to think that Democrats and many in the media spent the last six months saying it was a manufactured crisis.”
Latinos for Trump on Dems: ‘Traitors! Put them in cages they built!’
Pence continued: “The only thing that was manufactured was their outrage. But as they denied the crisis, you all deserve to know the Democrats have also been denying funding for humanitarian assistance, for facilities to support the courageous men and women of customs in border protection.”
That’s when the crowd erupted with shouts of “Traitors!” and “Put them in the cages they built!” That’s a reference to the cages that the Obama administration put migrant children during his eight years in office. Where was the media outrage then?
100,000 illegals caught at border in March alone
While Democrats and the left-wing media gaslight the public by falsely claiming there is no crisis at the US border, in reality, the United States is being flooded with illegal aliens who become long-term financial burdens on American taxpayers.
In April 2019, the Trump White House warned that the current situation at the southern border “presents a border security and humanitarian crisis that threatens core national security interests and constitutes a national emergency.”
In March alone, 100,000 illegal aliens were caught sneaking across the U.S. border. At that rate, 1.2 million illegal immigrants would enter the country every year. This is something that Democrats want, because they want to increase their voting bloc. Even if it means burdening U.S. taxpayers.
Trump wants to prioritize high-skilled immigrants
As BizPac Review reported, President Trump proposed a merit-based immigration system that prioritizes high-skilled workers and requires immigrants to pass a civics test before entering the US. They must also learn English and not become a long-term financial burden to American taxpayers.
Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom all have merit-based immigration systems. Why shouldn’t the United States? No one is calling these other countries racist for wanting to select the cream of the crop to enter their countries.
After decades of letting unskilled immigrants leech off (rather than contribute) to the U.S. economy, President Trump set new parameters that would bolster the economy and benefit all Americans.
