Parkland survivor David Hogg claimed in a stunning interview this week with The Washington Post that ever since the mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in February of 2018, he’s faced multiple assassination attempts …
This suggests that he’s either a very hated man, he’s a very mentally disturbed man or he’s a man who officially has a bigger ego and imagination than delusional freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, aka “The Boss.”
“In the past year, there have been seven assassination attempts,” Hogg said when asked by a WaPo interviewer about the “hate” and “death threats” he’s allegedly faced for his anti-Second Amendment zealotry.
But instead of pushing back on this outrageous and unsubstantiated claim to fame, interviewer KK Ottesen blindly accepted it as fact and asked how Hogg deals with the threats.
“Well, I see people as misguided and misinformed of what we’re actually here to talk about,” he replied. “But I also realize, if they kill me, that’s probably the stupidest thing they could do to try to end the movement. Because that would make it even more successful in the end. Because it would invigorate us and create f—ing change.”
He has an unfortunate tendency to use profanity in otherwise professional settings …

“Honestly, I realize that it’s horrible that I have to live through this, and it is traumatizing,” he continued. “But you eventually become desensitized to it. Like, oh, your house got SWAT-ted. You got a call from the police saying someone said that everyone in your family had been killed and that you are being held hostage for $100,000. Right? That becomes part of daily life. It’s just something that you have to get through. But I mean, what am I going to do? Stop?”
While there’s no excuse for the death threats he has faced (though whether those death threats qualify as assassination threats is another matter altogether), there is likewise no excuse for the lies he constantly tells. Granted, Hogg has no incentive to stop lying because the media clearly have no interest in challenging his lies.
When the young anti-gun zealot made a series of false statements on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” last year, host Brian Stelter said nothing.
His peers among the survivors of the Parkland shooting — or, rather, the anti-gun survivors (the pro-gun survivors have been smeared) — have been granted the same immunity.
For instance, they were allowed to smear National Rifle Association spokeswoman Dana Loesch as a lousy mother during a CNN-hosted gun control town hall event.
“I want you to know that we will support your two children in a way that you will not,” survivor Emma Gonzalez rudely said to Loesch without being challenged by any of the town hall moderators.
Listen:
During that same event, the crowd called Loesch a “murderer.” And again CNN’s moderators did nothing to stop this.
Speaking of lies, during Hogg’s interview with WaPo, he falsely claimed that people will continue to die needlessly so long as Americans continue to defend the Second Amendment.
“[W]e aren’t afraid to call out the bulls–t and the real thing that’s causing this,” he said in reference to gun violence. “It’s the fact that we live in a country that is told, again and again, and to a large part believes, that dead children are the cost of our Second Amendment. It’s not.”
“Dead children will result in the death of this country if we continue down this path. People say guns are related to freedom and patriotism — but living through instances of gun violence on a daily basis and children having to go through active shooter drills is not what freedom looks like to me. It’s what f–king corruption looks like to me. A corrupt system that doesn’t care about our children.”
Everything he said was a lie or distortion. The Second Amendment does not inspire crime — it stops it dead in its tracks:
“In contrast to the widely embraced narrative, perpetuated by liberal politicians and the media, that gun violence in America is getting worse all the time, the data reveal that the exact opposite is true,” the 81-year-old American Enterprise Institute, which frankly boasts far more credentials than a 19-year-old child, noted in a report published four years ago.
“According to data retrieved from the Centers for Disease Control, there were 7 firearm-related homicides for every 100,000 Americans in 1993. By 2013 (most recent year available), the gun homicide rate had fallen by nearly 50% to only 3.6 homicides per 100,000 population.”
Want to know what appears to exacerbate crime? Some of the draconian gun control policies sought by Hogg. He strongly supports gun-free zones and seems to believe the entire country should be such a zone, yet according to data from the Crime Prevention Research Center, 98 of all mass shootings have occurred in these zones:
These are facts that ever never cited by the media because the media prefer to treat Hogg like an oracle of truth whose every word and claim is rooted in divine wisdom.
Even claims as preposterous as the one he told about facing seven attempted assassinations. FYI. even President Donald Trump, the most hated man in America (thanks to the “I Hate Trump” media) hasn’t had to deal with that many assassination attempts!
Judging by the reaction on social media, few Americans outside of the “Believe Anything Media” actually believe the kid:
7 assassination attempts and not one word in the news about it until today? Okee dokee! ? I’m thinking more #HogWash. https://t.co/kxYgxwLuut
