“Charmed” star Alyssa Milano may have an embarrassing acting career these days, but it’s nothing compared to her newfound passion for political “activism.”
The outspoken Democrat tried to take on the role of investigative reporter on Wednesday and the results were a little embarrassing.
The actress livestreamed herself and other protesters trying and failing to enter a Florida migrant shelter on Wednesday. The migrant center she livestreamed from is in Homestead, Florida.
“I just asked to be let into the Homestead detention center based on a community visit, so let’s see what happens,” Milano said in one of the videos.

Milano was obviously denied entry, but an official handed her a media request card. Milano clearly thought she was too good for procedures meant for lower beings not from Hollywood, so she marched onward in her mission to be an annoying distraction in modern politics.
Milano told her followers — she sports over 3.5 million on Twitter — that she and other protesters were headed to another building to try and gain access to the detention center. One of the protesters with the actress said the detention center officials were throwing “stall tactics” at the liberal group.

Things only got more ridiculous from there as protesters could be seen climbing ladders and yelling to migrants in the detention center.
“I just want to show everyone that we have some amazing advocates, supporters that are on ladders and holding up hearts so that they can see over the fence to the children that are being kept at Homestead, in this camp,” Milano said.
The “Commando” actress said she herself climbed a ladder and immediately started crying.
“Just so everyone knows I got up on this ladder and immediately started crying. This is a very, very overwhelming thing to see. I don’ t know if you can see all of these tents,” she said.
I’m on my way to #Homestead. I’ll broadcast live from there at around 8:30am Eastern.

The Homestead detention center houses what they refer to as “Unaccompanied Alien Children.” These are youths captured by border patrol agents who say they are not traveling with parents.
A June 19 HHS report says that the average stay for these youths is around 36 days. They are released after officials have found “sponsors” for them that have been cleared as not a risk to the youths.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren also visited the detention center ahead of Wednesday night’s Democratic presidential debate. At the debate, Warren will take on nine challengers, none of whom are polling in the top five of their field — as she is.
“We have to shut down that facility and shut it down now!” Warren told supporters about the Homestead detention center on Tuesday.
“There weren’t children playing. There weren’t children laughing the way children usually do when they’re moving from one place to another,” Warren told reporters after her actual visit. “These were children who were being marched like little soldiers ― like little prisoners ― from one place to another. This is not what we should be doing as a country.”
