President Trump minced no words warning Iran that America doesn’t appreciate their “very ignorant and insulting” remarks and that the days of game-playing by the Obama White House are over.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the president accused Iran’s regime of not having a full grasp on reality in threatening the “most powerful Military Force in the world,” and cautioned the nation to think twice before attacking “anything American.”
As tensions have escalated between the U.S. and Iran in recent weeks, becoming more hostile in the aftermath of the Iranian military shooting down an unmanned American drone, Trump and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani have engaged in a war of words.
Planned airstrikes against Iran were called off at the last minute last week when the president cancelled the order in concern over civilian targets.

In response to increased economic sanctions signed by Trump on Monday, Rouhani fumed and accused the White House of being “afflicted by mental retardation.”
“You say you really want to hold talks with us but at the same time you’re saying that you want to boycott and sanction our foreign minister, so you’re lying,” Rouhani said, calling the sanctions against Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “outrageous and idiotic,” according to Associated Press.
“The useless sanctioning of Islamic Revolution Supreme Leader (Khamenei) and the commander of Iranian diplomacy means closing the doors of diplomacy by the U.S.′ desperate administration,” Abbas Mousavi, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, tweeted. “Trump’s government is annihilating all the established international mechanisms for keeping peace and security in the world.”

Trump fired back at the insults on Tuesday.
Iran leadership doesn’t understand the words “nice” or “compassion,” they never have. Sadly, the thing they do understand is Strength and Power, and the USA is by far the most powerful Military Force in the world, with 1.5 Trillion Dollars invested over the last two years alone..

The president called attention to the “wonderful Iranian people” suffering under the Islamic regime whose leaders spend the nation’s money on terror.
….The wonderful Iranian people are suffering, and for no reason at all. Their leadership spends all of its money on Terror, and little on anything else. The U.S. has not forgotten Iran’s use of IED’s & EFP’s (bombs), which killed 2000 Americans, and wounded many more…

Trump warned Iran that its aggression would be met with “overwhelming” U.S. force, clarifying that he meant “obliteration.”
….Iran’s very ignorant and insulting statement, put out today, only shows that they do not understand reality. Any attack by Iran on anything American will be met with great and overwhelming force. In some areas, overwhelming will mean obliteration. No more John Kerry & Obama!

The president offered a parting shot in his tweet to Obama and former Secretary of State John Kerry, who has been criticized for secretly meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif several times since leaving office.
