When Democrats are not busy advocating for killing unborn children, they are often found exploiting children already born.
Leading that charge is none other than Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who has been defiantly repeating an outright lie that the U.S. is operating concentration camps on the border — one might wonder when in the world this dimwit has time to represent the constituents in her district.
There are even photos, real or not.
With the southern border overwhelmed by a flood of humanity enticed to make the dangerous trek to America by the assurance of the Democratic Party’s fierce protection once they arrive, not to mention being aided and abetted every step of the way by open border progressives, Democrats are desperately pivoting to migrant children to escape scrutiny of their complicity in the border crisis.
Photographer Ivan Pierre Aguirre tweeted four photos of Ocasio-Cortez visiting the Tornillo tent city near El Paso, Texas shortly before her primary race in 2018, noting that Monday was the one year anniversary of that visit.
In the photos, which had not been released before, the overwrought socialist appears to be crying into her hands, looking more like a pouting high schooler than a soon-to-be member of Congress as she doubles over with… emotion, with the photographer a few feet away.
He tweeted: “Before @AOC hit the national stage & was just a fairly unknown House candidate frm NYC, she took time awy frm her campaign & came dwn to #Tornillo to protest the #tentcity housing migrant children. I made these previously unpublished fotos a yr ago today.

We do know that Ocasio-Cortez was at the Tornillo-Guadalupe port of entry gate on June 24, 2018. She was part of a group in Texas protesting the separation of migrant children from their parents after they were caught illegally entering the U.S.
And just as she attacks U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement today, saying it is a “criminal” agency “killing children,” so too did she a year ago, calling for the federal agency that enforces our immigration laws to be abolishes.
“When I talk about the abolishment of ICE, it is not a fringe position,” Ocasio-Cortez told Vogue at the time.

The visit coincided with last year’s Democrat-inspired crisis of the administration’s policy of separating illegal alien children from their parents — a policy that Trump has since abandoned.
Continuing with the exploitation of migrant children to push the left’s open border agenda, Ocasio-Cortez responded to the photos.
She tweeted: “I’ll never forget this, because it was the moment I saw with my own eyes that the America I love was becoming a nation that steals refugee children from their parents, & caged them. More kids died after this. To date, no one has been held accountable. We need to save these kids.”

And while Ocasio-Cortez acknowledged the photos, the fact remains that in all her media grandstanding over the past year, there has been little effort made to address what she herself claimed to be kids dying.
What did you do about it over the past year to “save the kids,” congresswoman?
Meanwhile , the media all but refuses to report on just how bad the flood of illegal immigrants is on the southern border.
ICE reported this month that agents apprehended 132,887 individuals who entered the country illegally in May alone — there have been 676,315 enforcement actions on the border in FY2019 through May, an increase of 99% over the same time last year, according to the agency.
The agency is overwhelmed and it funding depleted, while Democrats in the House engage in political theater and showmanship.
But back to those photos of Ocasio-Cortez, there was a resounding sentiment on social media about there being something real strange about the images.
Almost as if they were “staged” — then again, Aguirre may have just been in the right place at the right time. Repeatedly.
Even those on the same side of the issue suggested the “images feel so stage.”
I love AOC but these images feel so staged, it undermines her credibility on these issues. This crisis is not about “ striking” photos of a Congresswoman, it is about DYING CHILDREN.

Here’s a sampling of the responses to the images from Twitter:
These are so clearly contrived and staged that it's physically painful to look at them https://t.co/ZAlAGEX5Yq

Lots of people, including from professed AOC supporters, are commenting abt how weird these photos are, suggesting they are “staged.” https://t.co/agOruZjeCi

Glad y'all made sure her make up and wardrobe was perfect for this photo shoot first, otherwise this would have looked totally unprepared. https://t.co/CuWrt1dxjB

So, was Ocasio-Cortez overcome by a case of the sads because she could children in distress?
Turns out, Aguirre did share the photos last year and one cut away shows that there were guards on the other side of the fence, which appears to be in a remote area.
