CNN host Chris Cuomo lamented that Democrats can’t pack massive stadiums the way President Trump does with his rallies, and expressed concern that there’s a troubling enthusiasm gap for the 2020 Democratic candidates.
“One simple question: Why don’t the Democrats pack stadiums the way this president does?” Cuomo asked Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar.
“Oh but we do,” Klobuchar claimed. “We have a lot of stadiums we’re packing at the same time with so many people running. I think you’ve seen our candidates throughout the years generate that energy. And you certainly saw it in 2018…I am not one bit worried about the excitement on our side.”

Chris Cuomo: Trump’s rock-star crowds dwarf Dem rallies
After the segment wrapped, Cuomo told his audience that he disagrees with Klobuchar. “I don’t think Democrats are packing any place the way he is,” Cuomo remarked. “Size does matter, but we have to look at what matters about the size.”
Cuomo then conceded that the crowds that Trump draws is “bigger than what Democrats are getting so far.”
Trump supporters waited in line for 40 hours to see POTUS
For his June 18 rally in Orlando, Florida, Trump supporters began lining up for seats 40 hours before the event, Fox News reported. The Trump campaign reportedly received 100,000 ticket requests for the event, even though the arena only holds 20,000 people.
The crowds are massive and raucous in their support of their president. And this has Democrats like Chris Cuomo worried.
“Is the size of the rally suggestive of the 60 million-plus votes needed to win the next presidential election? Maybe not,” Cuomo explained. “But it has to mean something that as Democrats are playing these little clubs in Iowa and New Hampshire, Donald Trump is playing arenas.”
Cuomo continued: “People were lined up for more than a day in the Florida heat for this rally tonight. This is the only modern president to never see his popularity hit 50%, and yet he has the biggest crowds at his events.”
Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden diss Trump
After Trump’s jam-packed rally, the two leading Democratic candidates meekly slammed Trump.
Senator Bernie Sanders complained that “it’s going to take me a little while to settle down because I just had the extremely unpleasant experience of watching Donald Trump in action for an hour and a half.”
Sanders added: “Listening to Trump made me feel very much that he is a man living in a parallel universe, a man way out of touch with the needs of ordinary people and a man who must be defeated.”
Meanwhile, Joe Biden dissed President Trump on Twitter: “Trump continues to undermine our standing in the world. Our core values of inclusivity, diversity, respect for the rule of law, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom of religion are under attack here at home and abroad.”
Trump supporters on Twitter had a blast poking fun at the media’s nonstop attacks on President Trump, which have only made his supporters more protective of him.
Former Secret Service Agent Dan Bongino observed: “There are more people in line for the bathroom right now at the Trump Rally Orlando than there were in total at Joe Biden’s “rally” last week.”

Trump campaign barraged with media requests for rally
Bloomberg reporter Jennifer Jacobs said the Trump campaign was barraged with 1,200 media requests — which is 8 times more than usual for a MAGA rally.
Inside Amway Center in Orlando: horde of press. Trump campaign had 1,200 media requests, which one aide told me is 8 times usual for a MAGA rally. They had to deny some reporters, starting with foreign press. They gave 1st access to US press who will be read by US voters. pic.twitter.com/8CrQl9r8YK
