When Sarah Sanders stepped into the role as White House press secretary, the White House press briefings had devolved into a raucous feeding frenzy, as Trump-hating reporters competed with each other on how rude and condescending they could be.
Sanders immediately took control of the room, with no tolerance for grandstanding “journalists” like CNN’s Jim Acosta, which is why she was hated so much on the left and beloved on the right — this is also why her departure is so significant.
At the same time, Sanders stepping down at the end of the month is creating a lot of buzz about possible replacements, not to mention a little fun. After all, who’ll be the next person selected by President Trump, and will they top Sanders in commanding the room?
The Daily Wire’s Ryan Saavedra was quick to throw out a name after talking to several inside sources: Stephanie Grisham, the White House Director of Communications for first lady Melania Trump.
Quoting the sources, “stone-cold killer” was at the top of Saavedra’s list to describe Grisham, as well as “pure Trump.”
Sources close to Trump and the first family want Stephanie Grisham, WH Communications Director for Melania Trump, to take over for Sarah Sanders
Quotes:
-"stone-cold killer"
-"no one else comes close"
-"pure Trump"
-"She’d be great"
-"total home run"https://t.co/qYZQuw8RIs

“Grisham is pure Trump,” one source said. “She holds down the East Wing with ease and has no loyalties to any faction within the Republican Party. Members of the first family love her and know that she is fiercely dedicated and loyal.”
The quotes certainly sound like qualifications that would keep the ego-driven White House press corp in line.
Other names thrown out there include Stephen Miller, a senior adviser for policy for President Trump, who served as communications director for then-Sen. Jeff Sessions.
Social media users Kambree Kawahine Koa threw his name in the hat, accompanied by a video of Miller dismantling the aforementioned CNN reporter, Jim Acosta — it’s music to the ears.
I think Stephen Miller should be press secretary now that Sarah Sanders is gone. The media can’t get passed him. He right hooks back. pic.twitter.com/RDLw5vRIZL

The truth is, there are some really good options out there, which is a good thing for Trump supporters.
Another name getting attention is conservative journalist Katie Pavlich, who’s smart as a whip.
“Katie is brilliant, charismatic, quick, loyal, and very good against the dishonest press! Liberals fear her, press respects her Smart and tough!” tweeted Talking Point USA’s Charlie Kirk.
I think @KatiePavlich would make a terrific new Press Secretary
Sarah Sanders shoes are tough to fill – she was amazing!

Speaking of Turning Point USA, with Candace Owens leaving the organization last month, it would seem she would be available to replace Sanders.
And there was plenty of folks who love the idea.
that would be amazing. @RealCandaceO?? https://t.co/BOC6VXEzaK

And while she currently has an important job as national secretary for the president’s 2020 reelection campaign, Kayleigh McEnany is another name being mentioned.
My bet on next Press Secretary @kayleighmcenany.
— Bakari Sellers (@Bakari_Sellers) June 13, 2019
Here’s a sampling of McEnany’s aggressive take on the Trump-hating liberal media:
Only one party paid for opposition research from a hostile foreign power and weaponized it against @realDonaldTrump: the Democrats!
But the media continues to cover for Clinton & the DNC.
Coming up on @AmericaNewsroom, @FoxNews at 10:30 am ET!

Current State Department spokeswoman, Heather Nauert, a former Fox News host, is also said to be on the list of potential candidates.
Candidates in the mix include Steph Grisham (from the East Wing), Tony Sayegh (who just left Treasury), Heather Nauert (ex-State Dept.) and Hogan Gidley, SHS's deputy –> https://t.co/BP1bdSkKxT

If you’re looking for toughness, which Sanders had in vast supply, who better than former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino?
After all, he’s got experience protecting presidents.
Of course, this would drive the media over the edge, which may be the best reason to go with him.
He’s very tough, he’s got media experience, great public speaker, very quick on his feet, supports and defends the president, well spoken. It’s definitely a cut in pay from what he’s making writing books and doing podcasts, but I think he’d be great.

Another “tough” customer is Kellyanne Conway — after all, look a who she has to put up with in a husband.
It’s clear Conway has long since proven her skills at delivering President Trump’s message to the American people.

And if you think Bongino being selected would drive the media nuts, that would be a warm up act compared to Conway.
He’s going to make Kellyanne Conway Press Secretary just to fuck with us.

And the list goes on… what do you think? Who is your ideal selection for a Sanders replacement?
There’s always the possibility that the president doesn’t replace Sanders, as noted by Tom Rogan in a Washington Examiner op-ed.the
Rogan wrote that the White House “has largely scrapped the press briefing, and Trump likes communicating directly through his tweets,” before asking “why waste taxpayer dollars on a no-show job?”
Here’s a sampling of some other responses from Twitter:
I think Sean Hannity would be an excellent replacement for Sarah Sanders. He’s made enough. Time for some public service. Don’t y’all agree?
