Fox News’ Laura Ingraham slammed liberal politicians like those in California who are putting Americans’ health and well-being “at risk.”
Ingraham highlighted California as the “sucker state for Americans,” highlighting how liberal policies are putting the needs of illegal immigrants above those of its own residents as she spoke on the issue during “The Ingraham Angle” on Monday.

“This is not hyperbole. The ramifications, if this is not addressed, are very serious,” Ingraham said in her monologue. “Perhaps, deadly serious.”
She pointed to the sanctuary state as an example of what the country will look like if Democrats take back the White House in 2020, as “scarce resources are being lavished on the growing number of illegal immigrants in that state.”
Ingraham highlighted the out-of-control homelessness crisis that had escalated health concerns, and prompted warnings of impending epidemics. But, rather than focus resources and funds into plans to counter the problem, California lawmakers are looking for more ways to care for the illegal immigrants in the state.
“Over the weekend, we learned that California has gone from sanctuary state for dreamers to just being a sucker state for Americans. A just-announced state budget deal will now give health care benefits to many adult illegals too. Those between the ages of 19 and 25 will now be eligible for California’s ‘Medicaid’ program known as ‘Medi-Cal,'” Ingraham said.

Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom and Democrats in the state legislature delivered a bill that would cost $98 million a year as part of the state’s budget, running counter to the Trump administration’s immigration efforts by making California the first and only state in the nation to pay for the health care of thousands of illegal immigrants.
“Think those homeless people including homeless vets might be able to use that money?” Ingraham asked.
The proposed plan would also reinstate the Affordable Care Act’s penalties for anyone who refuses to buy health insurance.
“How are they going to pay for this by the way, by taxing citizens who don’t have health insurance. In other words, reviving the penalty of Obamacare,” Ingraham said, as she even admitted that she agreed with singer Cher who, in a moment of clarity, asked how Los Angeles could possibly take care of any more migrants when it can not even effectively care for “its own.”
Ingraham noted that plenty of Democrats, including 2020 contenders like former president Joe Biden, Sens. Kamala Harris and Bernie Sanders, agree with policies being rolled out in the Golden State.
“If spending hundreds of millions of dollars on health care over years for illegal immigrants requires eliminating funds that could be used to assist American citizens living in California – just focus on California – those people who are in need, well so be it! That’s just what you have to do,” Ingraham said, turning her attention to Texas where another crisis has been brewing.
A “lack of congressional leadership” is currently plaguing that state, the Fox News host argued, noting that since May 30, more than 500 migrants from African nations have been apprehended at the Del Rio Border Patrol sector of the U.S.-Mexico border, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Migrants from the Republic of Congo, which is currently experiencing an Ebola outbreak, were recently sent to San Antonio.

Ingraham noted that officials from the city of San Antonio told “The Ingraham Angle” that the Ebola risk was not a concern as the migrants had been traveling for months, exceeding the incubation period for the disease.
“One wonders where is the concern for the health of the San Antonio citizenry? Frankly citizens across the United States. Who’s going to translate their concerns to federal officials?” Ingraham asked.
“And why is no one questioning the pressure that this will place on communities across the country that are now obligated to house, educate, and feed people from other continents when we seem incapable in some cases of caring for our own citizens,” she concluded.
