This is not going to go over well on the Democratic side of the aisle.
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg may not be much for making public appearances since undergoing surgery for lung cancer back in December, but the 86-year-old jurist still knows how to make a headline.
On Friday, while speaking at the Second Circuit Judicial Conference, Ginsburg praised Justice Brett Kavanaugh for making Supreme Court history by hiring only women law clerks, as he had promised to do.
“Justice Kavanaugh made history by bringing on board an all-female law clerk crew,” Ginsburg commented. “Thanks to his selections, the Court has this Term, for the first time ever, more women than men serving as law clerks.”
We’ll go out on a limb and assume that the women selected were the best available candidates, regardless of gender, as shutting men out of the process entirely doesn’t come across as the kind of progress desired for the fair-minded.
Nonetheless, Kavanaugh’s actions earned praise from the most liberal member of the high court.
Not that Ginsburg was spiking the ball.
“Women did not fare nearly as well as advocates,” she added. “Only about 21 percent of the attorneys presenting oral argument this term were female; of the thirty-four attorneys who appeared more than once, only six were women.”

While Kavanaugh was fighting for his life against a Democrat Party ambush led by Sen. Diane Feinstein, D-Calif., who rolled out unsubstantiated allegations from more than four decades ago regarding improper behavior, he had promised to hire female law clerks.
“Before this allegation arose two weeks ago, I was required to start making certain administrative preparations for my possible transfer to the Supreme Court, just in case I was confirmed,” Kavanaugh said, according to the Washington Examiner. “I did so, and contingently hired four law clerks. All four are women. If confirmed, I’ll be the first justice in the history of the Supreme Court to have a group of all-women law clerks. That is who I am.”
Of course, the first question that comes to mind regarding the announcement regards Ginsburg.
“I wonder why Ginsberg didn’t do it first. I guess the hypocrisy of the left never knows any bounds,” one social media user tweeted.

It goes without saying that “the Democrat hate-machine [will] have fits” over the news, as another user noted.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
You mean the same Kavanaugh whose reputation and life the left destroyed?

Boy will the Democrat hate-machine have fits on this one! Ginsburg putting praise all over Kavanaugh! But did anyone actually SEE her? Is she REALLY there? Could be a hoax…lot of those being put on by Democrats nowadays…

WTF, I was told there would be misogyny.

He has always had all female law clerks. He also said if he was appointed he would bring all female law clerks to the Supreme Court. He has offered more opportunities for women to advance in the field of law than probably any other judge. Finally giving Credit where credit is due

Gosh, whoever knew Justice Ginsburg was a tool of the Patriarchy? https://t.co/xDN2h4Fkcl

@CillizzaCNN @cnn – Seemed to have missed this on your platform. Must have been an honest mistake since you were so fair to him during the nomination process. https://t.co/x88k65xlzG

Not that there weren’t the aforementioned haters, as seen below:
I hope they’ve all taken self defense classes.
