CNN’s Jim Acosta concedes to being outwitted, says Trump is ‘crazy like a fox’

CNN’s showboating reporter Jim Acosta begrudgingly conceded that President Donald Trump is “crazy like a fox” and is basically controlling the press like puppets — despite the anti-Trump media’s nonstop attacks against him.

Jim Acosta confesses that CNN is obsessed with Trump

Acosta made the remarks while peddling his book on CNN opinion host Brian Stelter’s Sunday show, which is ironically named “Reliable Sources.”

“I’m not a psychiatrist, so I can’t assess the president’s mental state. But I will tell you my sense of it is covering him for a pretty long period of time now, is he’s more crazy like a fox.

What Trump tries to do is really control the narrative by saying sensational things that sound wild and nutty sometimes. And he does this because he knows it dominates the news cycle. That makes it a priority for us in the news business to talk about him nonstop. And he loves that and he capitalizes on that.”

CNN hack Brian Stelter thinks George Conway is a psychiatrist

So basically, Jim Acosta admits that CNN and the mainstream media obsess over President Trump’s every tweet and typo in the hopes of undermining and embarrassing him.

In the process, they only wind up humiliating and discrediting themselves by focusing on trivial matters instead of actual news that affects their viewers.

Acosta made the remarks in response to Brian Stelter’s goading, when Tater mentioned that George Conway says Trump is mentally unfit to lead the country.

Conway — who is not a psychiatrist — is the unemployed, Trump-hating attorney husband of White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway.

Stelter said: “Her husband continues to say the president is mentally unwill, unfit. Look at his latest tweets saying the president should resign and seek psychological treatment.”

Acosta: CNN and I are the valiant defenders of the truth

Acosta then launched a comical, self-aggrandizing manifesto where he called himself and CNN the defenders of truth.

“We’re not just here to report the news,” Acosta said. “We’re here also to defend the truth. When you have a president who has made 10,000 false misleading statements since the beginning of his administration, that makes us fact checkers in real-time.”

Acosta: I hope the public appreciates the sacrifices I am making

A sympathetic Stelter then asked his colleague how he endures such hardships as a showboating White House correspondent.

“Are you tired?” Stelter concern-trolled.

Acosta valiantly quipped that he must shill his anti-Trump book because he’s protecting freedom and American values.

CNN is being sued for $275 million for lying about a teenager

Acosta sighed: “Am I tired? Maybe after this is all and said and done with the book tour, I’ll take a break. I feel this is an important time and the challenge that we’re up against. I don’t want our kids to grow up in a country where it’s okay to say the press is the enemy. We should not be called the enemy of the people…So I hope if there’s an overarching message that folks take away from this book, they have a deep appreciation for what we do.”

For the record, Acosta’s new book — that he’s shamelessly promoting — is opportunistically called “The Enemy of the People.”

Keep in mind that CNN — the self-proclaimed champions of truth — is being sued for $275 million for lying about teenage Trump supporter Nick Sandmann.

Meanwhile, here’s a flashback to what Jim Acosta was bravely doing this time last year: He was caught on a hot mic bragging that he intentionally disrupted the peace summit between Kim Jong Un and President Trump as petty revenge for not being allowed to sit in on their denuclearization meeting.
