Blexit founder Candace Owens took to Twitter this weekend to reaffirm her support for President Donald Trump going into the 2020 elections and also urge her fellow black Americans to stop reacting emotionally to the news — or, rather, the “fake news.”
“If black Americans do not learn to stop reacting emotionally, we will never break the mental chains that the liberals have placed upon us,” she wrote. “I am voting for Trump in 2020. There isn’t a documentary, athlete, or hip-hop artist that can change my mind. Demand policy, not culture.”
Look:
If black Americans do not learn to stop reacting emotionally, we will never break the mental chains that the liberals have placed upon us.

Demand policy, not culture.

While Owens clearly aimed her message at her peers in the black community, it’s a message that needs to be heard by everybody in the country, be they white, black, Asian, Hispanic, etc.
Many Americans, particularly on the left, have a tendency to react to events and news with the emotional immaturity of a child instead of with the reason and calm of an adult.
Reason, logic and calm are already in short supply in the U.S., all thanks to a “progressive” ideology that favors victimhood and childish petulance over strength and stoicism. It’s why it’s now commonplace to see college students be treated like little children.
This growing inability to think critically and rationally is especially problematic because of the false narratives that the media routinely disseminate. Take the child separation scam. Thanks to the media’s lies, God knows how many childishly naive Americans came to believe that President Donald Trump was purposefully and maliciously mistreating illegal alien children for the thrills of it.
Remember when Time magazine published a patently false narrative about an illegal alien child who it claimed had been separated from her mother by the Trump administration?
Father of girl Time magazine used to manipulate public says child was never separated from mom https://t.co/5ihG14uuf4

As the media’s child separation scam grew, so did the false belief that the president was committing heinous atrocities against illegal alien children (he wasn’t):
First off, no other president kidnapped immigrant children at the border. @realDonaldTrump has gone retro: brought back Nazi concentration camps, separating families. He’s working at making America white & rich. #fuckTrump

Trump is separating every family, not some. Every family. And now he is requiring parents to sign a deportation document to get their kids back. That’s extortion.

Complete BS, Nazi trump! US Now Separating Kids From School, Lawyers, Soccer, And Medicine https://t.co/5OzfUTYaNZ

Separating families is going to be the legacy of this evil and demented administration. Not since Nazi Germany has this occurred.

Every American should be outraged at Trump’s policy of separating undocumented children (babies to teenagers) from their parents at the border and holding them in cages.
We are not Nazi Germany.
— Kim Budanit (@kimbudant) June 18, 2018
The cruelty inherent in the Trump policy of separating parents from children, caging children, then transporting them, undocumented, across this vast country is Nazi- inspired. There are, too, the foster agencies with a financial interest in the babies. Who are they linked to? https://t.co/17USdSUpGm

The new @realDonaldTrump Administration created laws on border children separations ARE NOT Nazi-style tactics, THEY ARE NAZI TACTICS.
Separating children from loving families is EVIL & INDEFENSIBLE.
This is not the road to fascism.
THIS IS FASCISM.?? https://t.co/ShPzABb68o

It was all hyperbolic, exaggerated nonsense — every little bit of it. People bought into it anyway because of their emotional immaturity. They reacted, in effect, like little children.
They reacted much like the way little children react when told by their parents on the day after Halloween that they, the parents, have eaten their, the children’s, candy.
Watch:
The children above automatically fell for the lies hook, line and sinker, without ever once asking themselves, “Well, wait a minute, is she for real … do the facts back this narrative?”
They’re children, after all, and children have a lot to learn still. Adults, on the other hand, should know better. But sadly, they oftentimes don’t anymore.
That was the point Owens tried to convey.
In a follow-up tweet posted Saturday evening, she pointed out how the Democrats “have trained” blacks in particular into believing that donning the cloak will spur their success.
But as she rightly pointed out, “Emotion and anger is an express lane to failure.”
Indeed.
Black America has been destroyed by liberal policies, a liberal media and a liberal stranglehold on culture.
Democrats have trained us to celebrate our past oppressions as if it might catapult us into the future.
Emotion and anger is an express lane to failure. #BLEXIT

The truth is though that many Americans of all stripes have been “trained” into donning the cloak of victimhood, including but not limited to gays, Muslims, women and even children.
Word of advice: Don’t be a victim, and don’t act like a child. Instead, think critically, ask tough questions and never, never, never fall for the banana in the tailpipe.
