Bonafide American citizens must show their IDs, take off their shoes and pass through a full body scanner (without being groped, hopefully) to board a flight. As for illegal aliens, they reportedly don’t even need to show an ID.
“For the past six months, the Transportation Security Administration has allowed migrants released from the custody of other Homeland Security agencies to board flights to other parts of the country despite the passengers lacking any of the 15 documents it states are the only acceptable forms of identification,” the Washington Examiner reported Thursday.
Citing sources within the Department of Homeland Security, the Examiner reported that after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement releases illegal aliens from custody, the illegals usually travel to their family members in other cities. Some take buses, while other take flights.
The big question is how these illegals are even getting on any flights, period.
To board a domestic or international flight, a flyer must present a valid form of identification. Below is a list of the 15 valid forms of identification accepted by the TSA:
- Driver’s licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent)
- U.S. passport
- U.S. passport card
- DHS trusted traveler cards (Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
- U.S. Department of Defense ID, including IDs issued to dependents
- Permanent resident card
- Border crossing card
- DHS-designated enhanced driver’s license
- Federally recognized, tribal-issued photo ID
- HSPD-12 PIV card
- Foreign government-issued passport
- Canadian provincial driver’s license or Indian and Northern Affairs Canada card
- Transportation worker identification credential
- U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Employment Authorization Card (I-766)
- U.S. Merchant Mariner Credential
A TSA spokesperson initially told the Examiner that illegal aliens are permitted to board flights if they present the documents they received after applying for asylum.
“TSA accepts identification documentation issued by other government agencies, which is validated through the issuing agency,” the spokesperson said. “All passengers are then subject to appropriate screening measures.”
It’s unclear whether those “appropriate screening measures” are the same for illegals aliens.
The specific document cited by the agency is a notice to appear known as Form I-862.”
It’s a “paper that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services will give to a person who has passed a credible fear screening and will have his or her asylum case decided by a federal judge as many as five years down the road,” according to the Examiner.
But an official with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services disputed the TSA’s claim, telling the Examiner that the form is not a travel authorization document.
When questioned again, this time the TSA said that illegal aliens may be gaining access to flights by presenting a USCIA employment card.
This excuse also makes no sense, since illegal aliens must wait until 180 days after their credible fear claim has been approved before they may obtain this card.
In one final statement to the Examiner, the agency appeared to suggest that there’s another, darker reason why and how illegals are being permitted to board flights.
“All travelers are required to provide proper documentation prior to flying. CBP, ICE and TSA have been working together for years, ensuring that those who are leaving detention facilities are provided with the proper documentation, or given additional information about proper documentation at that time,” the statement reportedly reads.
“TSA has always had protocols in place for those that are unable to produce documentation and need to travel. However, we expect the vast majority of travelers to appear with one of the documents listed on our website.”
It’s unclear what the bolded part meant, but it seemed to suggest there’s a program in place that caters to “those that are unable to produce documentation.”
However, the big question still remains unanswered: Why are federal government officials allowing illegal aliens to board flights without any proper documentation? Better yet, why are they letting illegal aliens board flights, period?
Social media users would also like to know why illegal aliens are being treated better than bonafide American citizens:
First, we let illegals break into our country…
they take advantage of our education and healthcare systems.
Now, we let illegals fly without proper documentation?!
Americans are being treated as second class citizens in their own country! https://t.co/agAUTFxYsN

While US Citizens have to prove identity, illegal immigrants do not?! Let’s hope @TSA stops this reckless action. #BuildTheWall

Then why do I have to be at the airport an hour early with my drivers license and passport?
What makes these low-educated, jobless, diseased Invaders so damn special?

COMMENT: I’ve been flying for several days, and seen no let up on the documentation requirements for citizens. The distribution of illegals throughout the US is illegal at all levels.

Are there simply no laws/rules that illegals must abide by?
Allowed to fly with proper docs. (Didn’t we have an issue with planes a while back – 9-11)
Fake shot cards – so now we’re dealing with measles
No driver’s license is ok too
What is off limits?

If congressional Democrats ever get their way, all illegal aliens will be entitled to free healthcare, free education and even free welfare, all courtesy bonafide tax-paying American citizens.
