The liberal media is so comfortable in its intolerance, confident in the acceptance of its bigotry when it comes to attacking straight white males.
In a “CBS This Morning” segment that allows the co-hosts to pick a story they would like to share with the audience, Tony Dokoupil brought up a recent Democratic Party policy that bars political consultants from aiding primary challengers.
It’s not by accident that the New York Times breathed new life into the topic in a piece ran on Sunday.
“A move by House Democratic leaders to thwart party members from mounting primary challenges to incumbents, even in safe Democratic districts, could have the unintended consequence of arresting the party’s shift toward a more female and racially diverse caucus, one of its most striking achievements of the last election,” the paper declared.
Keep in mind, House Majority Leader Rep. Steny Hoyer is the only white male on the party’s leadership team.
In bringing up the policy change, Dokoupil singled out “older white men” under the pretense of unintended consequences.
“I’ll go first. I have a story of unintended consequences,” he began. “Democratic leadership in the House, they have a new policy meant to protect incumbents, people currently in office. The policy is no challenger to that seat — no consultant can work with a challenger to that seat.”
“Now, the idea is to help keep the people who are in Congress, make them stay in Congress,” Dokoupil continued. “Here’s the problem. Two-thirds of those people in those statehouse seats are older white men. The people who are making the challenges often are often female, often younger, often people of color. So, people are looking at this new policy and they’re thinking, ‘Not a good look for the Democratic Party.’ Unintended consequences.”
A graphic is displayed singling out the number of white male Democrats currently in the House.
“Is it going to change, do we think?” co-host Anthony Mason chimed in, prompting Dokoupil to say, “I don’t know. We’ll have to stay tuned.”
Co-host Gayle King, a black woman, interjected to remind Dokoupil, “White men are everywhere, Tony.”
And the left complains about “white privilege?”
“There’s a lot of you guys out here right now,” she added, while gesturing around the studio with a laugh.
Defeating an incumbent is the path the party’s newest hero, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., took to gain her seat, beating Joe Crowley, a 10-term congressman at the time who was the 4th ranked Democrat in the House.
Ocasio-Cortez was quick to denounce the policy change back in March.
The @DCCC’s new rule to blacklist+boycott anyone who does business w/ primary challengers is extremely divisive & harmful to the party.
My recommendation, if you’re a small-dollar donor: pause your donations to DCCC & give directly to swing candidates instead.

Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., another outspoken hard-left progressive cut from the same cloth as Ocasio-Cortez, also gained her seat in 2018 by defeating an incumbent.
Pressley, the first black woman from Massachusetts elected to Congress, beat Michael Capuano, another 10-term Democrat. Crowley and Capuano are both white.
