Authenticity appears to be in short supply over in the Democrat Party …
First, Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren tried to appear like one of the people by live-streaming herself drinking a beer. Then socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez essentially got drunk on camera to presumably connect with her constituents (just speaking with them isn’t an option, apparently), though some might argue that’s how she always acts.
And now Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris has gone and done this:

Is she running to be the president or auditioning to play bootylicious chef Paula Deen in a movie!? To be fair, Harris didn’t tweet this herself. It was tweeted by her husband, Douglas Emhoff.
It was nevertheless ripe for mockery because it exuded so much inauthenticity. Why? For one, the apron seemed awfully clean and creased, almost as if it’d never been used before:

The Twitter user “danielwesley0” had a point — it did seem as if the 2020 contender was trying to portray herself as the “everyday house wife” so as to drum up more support and votes. And it’s not as if other Democrats haven’t tried to pull the exact same stunt before.
Just three months ago fellow Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand literally cooked a meal for an Associated Press reporter for what basically turned out to be a photo shoot.
A widely mocked photo shoot, to be precise:

It does seem odd, doesn’t it?

Regarding the latter user’s question — “[h]ow stupid are your supporters” — well, not to judge, but those Americans who support Harris presumably also support her crazy ideas.
During a CNN town hall earlier this year, for instance, the 2020 contender endorsed plans to eliminate the fossil fuel industry and the private healthcare market. All that in just one night.
“I support a Green New Deal, and I will tell you why: Climate change is an existential threat to us, and we have got to deal with the reality of it,” she said when asked by an audience member about Ocasio-Cortez’s extremely radical “Green New Deal.”
The plan by the freshman congresswoman calls for wiping the fossil fuel industry out of existence and replacing all of America’s energy production with renewables within 10 years.
Not only is the plan unrealistic, but it would basically destroy society. It’s unclear why anyone with common sense and intelligence would support such a plan …
