The father of alleged STEM School Highlands Ranch shooter Maya ‘Alec’ McKinney is a twice-deported serial felon. Jose Evis Quintana spent 15 months in jail for domestic violence against McKinney’s mother and for “menacing with a weapon.” He was also charged with attempting to kidnap, evading police in a car, and driving without a license, according to records obtained by the Daily Mail.

According to the Daily Mail report, Quintana was deported to Mexico in 2010 and then again in 2017. He’s reported to have admitted to having drug and alcohol problems.
The 16-year-old McKinney was born a girl and named Maya. Alec is the name the transgender McKinney now goes by. On April 14, McKinney tweeted: “My mom talking to me about how she hates the new alec. Mom: I miss my Alec can you find him for me. Me: I miss my dad can you find him for me.”
In September 2009, Quintana was sentenced to 15 months in prison when all charges against him were dropped, other than ‘menacing’ Morgan McKinney, the mother of Maya Morgan with a weapon. He was also ordered to undergo domestic violence counseling. McKinney married Quintana two months later.
In December of 2010, Quintana was deported. A divorce was granted to McKinney in May 2015.
In December 2016, following a warrant issued against him in New Mexico for domestic violence, McKinney was again deported.
Nine students were shot at the school in Colorado on Tuesday, May 7. One was killed. McKinney and friend Devon Erickson, 18, are in custody after several students overpowered the shooters.
A STEM School parent had warned school administrators and the school district months earlier that a “repeat of Columbine” was a possibility.

So Alec McKinney, the Stem Shooter in CO, is transgender and the son of an illegal immigrant, who’s father was deported, twice, & arrested on weapons charges?
The 21st century “progressive” is the antithesis of progress, they’re an anachronism, reminiscent of Nazi germany. pic.twitter.com/cQo7hVPmWJ

The father of 16-year-old Colorado shooter has an extensive criminal record of domestic violence, drug and alchohol abuse. Often we tend to think what happens in the home stays in the home, but so often, evil is taught. Heal the family, heal the nation.https://t.co/R0Box8it7Y

Warning signs missed again. Another preventable tragedy. Parents, you have to take charge of your child’s safety. The education bureaucracy will not do it for you. Your child’s life depends on it. https://t.co/GQlSFV1uHV
