With hundreds of rockets raining down on Israel from Gaza, the vast majority of the Democratic Party has been silent, and when members of the party did speak out, it was from the first two Muslim women elected to Congress.
The preferred approach taken by Palestinian-American Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Somali-American Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., was to defend the terrorists firing the rockets.
But Omar, who has a well established history of anti-Semitism, went the extra length to reinforce an astute observation made last week by both Vice President Mike Pence and Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., that she doesn’t have a clue what she’s talking about — the assessment coming in response to Omar blaming the U.S. for the current crisis in socialist Venezuela.
Taking to Twitter, Omar not only defended the terrorist group Hamas, but talked about a non-existent “occupation” of Gaza.
“How many more protesters must be shot, rockets must be fired, and little kids must be killed until the endless cycle of violence ends?” the Democrat posted. “The status quo of occupation and humanitarian crisis in Gaza is unsustainable. Only real justice can bring about security and lasting peace.”

The status quo of occupation and humanitarian crisis in Gaza is unsustainable. Only real justice can bring about security and lasting peace.

Of course, the most troubling aspect of Omar’s tweet centers on exactly what she is referring to as “real justice” when it comes to Israel — a question you can be sure the liberal media will not follow up on.
Omar, who seems to harbor much hate in her heart, was taken apart for her ignorant take on events.
Leading the way was Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., who educated the Muslim lawmaker on who controls Gaza — Israel abandoned all Jewish settlements in the troubled region in 2005 and pulled out. The Palestinian people would go in to democratically elect the Hamas Party, handing them administrative control of Gaza Strip and West Bank.
Cheney also asked a highly compelling question, given Omar’s troubling record: “Real question is how many times will
@IlhanMN rush to the defense of terrorists?”
1. Hamas controls Gaza.
2. Hamas is firing rockets at civilians in Israel. 3. @IlhanMN is defending Hamas. Real question is how many times will @IlhanMN rush to the defense of terrorists? https://t.co/mrKQBz1TDa

But Cheney was far from alone in responding.
Even former Democratic New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind blasted Omar, declaring that by remaining in Congress, she “betrays what this country stands for” — by the grace of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Omar has a coveted seat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
“By supporting Hamas,
@Ilhan is clearly a terrorist sympathizer and supporter and an accessory to murder of Israeli civilians. She betrays what this country stands for every moment she remains in Congress!” Hikind tweeted.

Here’s a sampling of other online responses that suggest Omar may soon replace Al Frankin and Jessie Ventura as Minnesota’s greatest political embarrassment.
Gaza is not occupied. Israel withdrew. Gaza’s Palestinian leaders then burned synagogues and greenhouses full of food. Its leaders are terrorists who have attacked Israelis and Egyptians. The problem is not Israel. The problem is terrorists, and their supporters, like @IlhanMN. https://t.co/xxNisKp5sG

I never thought I'd see the day that a sitting Congresswoman would defend terrorist attacks against Israel, but here we are. https://t.co/yAZH3sc5ph

There will be peace when the palestinians love their children more than they hate the Jews and Israel.

Gaza is occupied by Hamas, not Israel. Hamas is funded by Iran and works against the interest of Palestinians. It terrorizes the Gaza population and shoots rockets into civilian areas of Israel. You seem to be an apologist for Hamas. Hope I’m wrong. #SaveGazaFromHamas

This is outright Hamas propaganda, rife with countless falsehoods. There is no occupation in Gaza. Your Hamas friends are responsible for the deaths of children. They were not protesters. Stop defending jihadi terrorists.
— Jordan Schachtel (@JordanSchachtel) May 5, 2019
Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005. There is no occupation. The humanitarian crisis and the violence is all created by Hamas, a terrorist group which victimizes Israelis and Palestinians. Your attempt to blame Israel for the violence Hamas crates is telling and deplorable.

As for Omar’s suggestion of “real justice,” here’s a few takes on that:
Something tells me “Real Justice”=from the River to the Sea https://t.co/j43kPB9D3Q

“Real justice” is a barely veiled reference to Antisemitic genocide. https://t.co/tG1994T4SJ
