Eric Swalwell embarrasses himself with ‘woke’ confession: ‘spoiler alert: I’m a white man’

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) has come up with an action plan to help him earn victory in the 2020 presidential election.

The Democrat lawmaker addressed his skin color and how he will atone for it in a recent interview with MSNBC.

“I don’t think anyone’s identity should hold them back, but I think the next president should see all races, all identities, but recognize where you can’t speak for someone’s experience and pass the mic to someone who can,” said Swalwell.

The Democrat then went on to say that he has pledged to nominate a woman to be his vice president. He also said he wants to put forth policies that battle “inherent bias” in communities.

As if that weren’t all enough, Swalwell later took to Twitter to double down on his thoughts and to release a two-step action plan to make up for his whiteness.

“SPOILER ALERT: I’m a white man,” wrote Swalwell. “I know where I can’t speak to someone else’s experience and I pledge to:

Swalwell’s logic is clearly flawed. He says he wants to provide opportunities to everybody, but then he goes on to say that he is only interested in a female taking the job of his vice president.

Picking a woman for the job also brings up another problem in his logic. If Swalwell really thinks being a white man is such a bad thing and we need non-white, non-male voices in the White House, then why not be the vice president to a woman? Or, for that matter, why run at all?

Swalwell also talks about not being able to know someone’s else’s experience, but saying this in reference to race is just sad. It implies that Swalwell believes people’s experiences are entirely exclusive to their race. No room for individuality in Swalwell’s myopic view of the world.

Social media users understandably went after Swalwell’s “spoiler warning” and his limited potential as a leader.

“This is hilarious. It’s basically a ‘woke’ white guy offering the women he’s running against scraps. Hard to believe this isn’t parody, but here we are,” responded one user.

Another said, “So you are advocating racial discrimination and believe ‘giving’ a woman the position of Vice President is somehow an act of gender equality? Why aren’t you offering to be the VP to female candidate?”

Other responses included Swalwell being called a “walking cringe tornado” and being asked to “leave forever.” Check them out below:

Swalwell’s desperate virtue signaling was actually not the most cringe-worthy moment in his interview. Asked about Democrats not being tough enough to defeat Donald Trump in 2020, Swalwell replied, “I am tough enough.”

Check out the moment below. You can almost hear his voice crack when he says it.

If the Democrats’ idea of “tough” is a man who seems to be entering an apology tour for being white, then Republicans have absolutely zero to worry about in 2020.

They likely have nothing to worry about anyway since Donald Trump will be running on actions and policy. Democrat candidates like Swalwell are meanwhile running on empty virtue signaling and that only gets you so far.
