Gay Dem hopeful Buttigieg’s anti-Pence obsession looks suspicious considering previous cordial dealings

Despite identifying as a Christian, Democrat presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, the current mayor of South Bend, seems to take issue with Vice President Mike Pence’s devout Christian beliefs.

Ever since he declared his candidacy for office three months ago, the radical left-wing firebrand has repeatedly criticized Pence (and sometimes even President Donald Trump) for his Christian beliefs.

It’s as if as an openly gay man, Buttigieg is simply unable to get over the fact that the vice president believes homosexuality is a sin as per the doctrines outlined in the Bible. And so he keeps issuing blatant smears essentially accusing Pence of discriminating against gays.

“If me being gay was a choice, it was a choice that was made far, far above my pay grade,” he said while speaking at the LGBTQ Victory Fund National Champagne Brunch over the weekend.

“And that’s the thing I wish the Mike Pences of the world would understand. That if you got a problem with who I am, your problem is not with me — your quarrel, sir, is with my creator.”

But it’s a completely false narrative that Pence or other true Christians such as him have an issue with the likes of Buttigieg or want to hurt them or discriminate against them.

If anything, the reverse argument could be posited — that radical members of the homosexual community want to destroy anyone and everyone who refuses to kowtow to their beliefs.

For years left-wing radicals have been attempting to destroy the life of Jack Phillips, a Colorado baker who once politely refused to bake a custom cake for a gay couple’s wedding and politely requested that the couple purchase one of his pre-made products instead.

Meanwhile, two years ago the gay owner of a coffee shop in Seattle booted a group of Christians from his shop because of their religious beliefs — and to much fanfare from the left.

This is what real bigotry looks and sounds like:

Not once has Buttigieg, who purports to be a Christian, spoken out against such blatant bigotry. Now contrast him to Pence, who’s made it clear he won’t tolerate anti-gay bigotry.

“If I saw a restaurant owner refuse to serve a gay couple, I wouldn’t eat there anymore,” then-Indian Gov. Pence tweeted in 2015 in response to deceitful criticism from the anti-Christian left that a religious liberty bill he’d signed into law would be a “license to discriminate.”

If anything, the bill was designed to prevent the anti-Christian left from continuing to get away with discriminating against Christians. In short, the bill was designed to stop the type of left-wing-sanctioned bigotry seen above from occurring anymore in the state of Indiana.

Sadly, no such religious liberty law exists in Washington, which is where the video above was recorded.

But none of this seems to matter to Buttigieg.

Last month he said about Pence that “it chills a lot of us, especially in the LGBTQ community, to see that somebody like that can be in that kind of position of power.”

Speaking on “The Daily Show,” he added that Pence’s standard Christian beliefs are “fanatical.”

But there’s more. According to the Washington Examiner, when the South Bend mayor came out as gay in 2015, guess who showed him some love … Pence!

“I hold Mayor Buttigieg in the highest personal regard. I see him as a dedicated public servant and a patriot,” the then-governor reportedly said when asked by the media about the mayor.

Even the mayor has previously admitted how well Pence has treated him: “He was noticeably moved by my deployment. He called me the day I was driving to the base,” he reportedly wrote in his memoir, referring to the time he was deployed to Afghanistan in 2014 as part of his Navy duties.

In the book, the mayor even described the then-governor as “gracious and decent to me in person.”

Yet the mayor turned presidential candidate keeps attacking Pence, perhaps to score points with the Democrat Party’s increasingly radicalized base? What he’s doing isn’t just shady and unbecoming — it’s also so deceitful, according to openly gay U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell.

“For those of us in the LGBT community who deal in facts, we are chilled by recklessly repeated gossip. Mike Pence is a humble Christian who loves God, and all His creation. I know him. You obviously don’t,” the ambassador tweeted last month in response to Buttigieg’s remarks to BuzzFeed.

Look:

It’s unclear why Buttigieg can’t just accept Pence for who he is — a devout Christian — and let him live his life in peace. It’s almost as if he’s the real bigot, as noted by social media:
