What good is power if you can’t brag every once in a while how effectively you use it?

Former Vice President Joe Biden now probably wishes he had kept quiet rather than speak off the cuff about how he threatened the Ukrainian government that $1 billion in loan guarantees would be withheld unless a certain prosecutor was fired.
Of course, he did at the time leave out the part about the prosecutor probing a company for which his son Hunter was sitting on the board–natural gas firm Burisma Holdings. The prosecutor was leading a wide-ranging corruption investigation of Burisma Holdings at the time.
This development could be Biden’s biggest nightmare in a recent series of them … one that could very well prevent him from declaring his 2020 candidacy for president.
Some very interesting perspective … according to John Solomon in The Hill, “U.S. banking records show Hunter Biden’s American-based firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners LLC, received regular transfers into one of its accounts — usually more than $166,000 a month — from Burisma from spring 2014 through fall 2015, during a period when Vice President Biden was the main U.S. official dealing with Ukraine and its tense relations with Russia.”
It was January of 2018 when Biden let slip in front of an audience at a meeting of the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR), with video rolling, that in March 2016 he threatened Ukraine President Poroshenko that the Obama administration would not come through with $1 billion in loan guarantees unless he immediately fired top prosecutor Viktor Shokin. If those loan guarantees were pulled, the country would become insolvent.
The official CFR transcript of Biden speaking during this part of the panel discussion reads: “I went over, I guess, the 12th, 13th time to Kiev. And I was supposed to announce that there was another billion-dollar loan guarantee. I had gotten a commitment from Poroshenko and from Yatsenyuk that they would take action against the state prosecutor. They didn’t.
“They said they had—they were walking out to a press conference. I said, nah, I’m not going to—or, we’re not going to give you the billion dollars. They said, you have no authority. You’re not the president. The president … I said, call him. (Laughter.) I said, I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars. I said, you’re not getting the billion. I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a bitch. (Laughter.) He got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time.”

It seems Democrats don’t like corruption investigations unless the prosecutors are loyal and beholden to the left.
Several Ukrainian officials confirm Biden’s story, although they say it happened over a period of months rather than hours.
Shokin has indicated that before he was fired as general prosecutor he made “specific plans” for an investigation that “included interrogations and other crime-investigation procedures into all members of the executive board, including Hunter Biden.”
Swap the name to Trump and it would be on every major network as breaking news.

That’s the problem these politicians have been in power too long and have become like little kings.

I always liked Joe but the fact is he’s as sleazy, if not worse, than the rest of the Democratic Party. He is a corrupt politician who has used his position to create huge wealth for his family.

Even the smiling “overly affectionate” grandfather in the Dem party is guilty of securing personal benefit from his political power. This is why POWER is the main objective of the Democrat Party. The benefits are priceless.
