Unbeknownst to some of her fans, former Pussycat Dolls member turned solo singer Kaya Jones is an avid Second Amendment activist who takes her right to self-defense quite seriously.
Granted, she didn’t start out this way.
“I totally didn’t grow up with firearms. My mom likes to hunt but never has taken me so wasn’t a family thing,” she revealed in a new interview with the pro-Second Amendment magazine Empowered.
We love pro-2A women doing big things for the movement!

That changed after a deranged man opened fire on a crowd of country music concertgoers in Las Vegas two years ago, killing 58 innocent men and women and injuring another 851.
“I was on stage an hour before the shooting, and when we were bunkered down there was only one handgun in the bar,” she said. “I felt helpless and remember thinking this will not be me again if we get out of here alive. Also coming from the music industry and dealing with abuse, I felt more empowered each time I learned more about self defense.”
It shows. Last October she released a new music video dedicated to “the gun worlds most popular and respected women,” including Empowered founder Antonia Okafor.

The video also depicted her burning a couple pairs of Nike shoes. She released the song around the time that Nike decided to celebrate unemployed, anthem-disrespecting NFL star Colin Kaepernick as a beacon of “sacrifice” by making him the face of its “Just Do It” campaign.
Continuing her interview with Empowered, Kaya recommended that young women who’re in search of “true female empowerment” go out and learn how to use a weapon.
“Gun up!” she declared. “I say it all the time but I truly believe the best way to empower oneself is to learn how to fight back. You may never use it or need it, but it gives you a self assurance and confidence that does exude. People don’t mess with strong people. It’s a vibe.”
“When we are weaker we are targets,” she added.
That’s what’s called common-sense advice. Sadly, common-sense advice typically isn’t appreciated by far-left women. They prefer teaching men not to rape versus learning how to protect themselves from those men who can’t be taught anything, let alone not to rape.
Kaya believes that this message of empowerment is also relevant to the #MeToo movement, which centers on women calling out the sexual abuse they’ve faced at the hands of powerful men.
“The real way to help young women is to empower them. Training and learning how to carry ones set and protect one self is the right way to get girls and women out of being victimized,” she said.
But she cautioned that she also believes in due process.
That too shows in how she treated Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Whereas leftist women rushed to condemn him over dubious allegations of sexual assault, Kaya let due process play out. And it was through due process that she learned that Kavanaugh’s accuser was a liar.

Concluding her interview, the singer spoke of her Christian faith.
“I am a servant for the Lord Jesus Christ. He’s my savior and I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for his grace and mercy. I’m still a work in progress but I try my hardest to follow his word. I love Jesus,” she said.
That too shows in her wisdom, willingness to learn and common sense. Not to mention her pro-life views. Earlier this week she retweeted a trailer of the just-released film “Unplanned.”
And oh, she’s an avid supporter of President Donald Trump too.

This isn’t the first time she’s enraged the left.
Late last year she dedicated each day leading up to Christmas to first lady Melania Trump:
In honor of our First Lady Melania Trump I have decided to dedicate each day leading up to Christmas to her. She’s an inspiration and I just want you to know we love you @FLOTUS here’s to #25DaysOfMelania ❤️?✝️?? pic.twitter.com/ixeii5Gk2k

And following the shooting at YouTube’s California headquarters last April, she took to Twitter to remind folks that draconian gun control laws can’t stop such shootings from occurring again.
Look:
You can’t stop a mentally ill person or bad guy from walking into anywhere and shooting, but what we can do is arm ourselves to shoot back!

Gun up people! You can’t stop a shooter when weapons on the streets are also available. But what you can do it arm yourselves to fight back. You might end up saving your life or someone else’s
