Biden camp responds to fmr. candidate’s serious accusations of inappropriate kissing, touching and sniffing

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s potential 2020 campaign just ran into one hell of a snafu.

On Friday a former Nevada state legislator published a stunning op-ed in The Cut in which she accused the former VP of having sexually harassed her during a 2014 midterms campaign rally.

Former Nevada Assemblywoman Lucy Flores, a Democrat, explained that at the time Biden had offered to assist her gubernatorial campaign by speaking at one of her rallies. She accepted. What she didn’t realize was that he’d use the rally as an opportunity to touch her in a “blatantly inappropriate and unnerving” way.

“Just before the speeches, we were ushered to the side of the stage where we were lined up by order of introduction,” she wrote. “As I was taking deep breaths and preparing myself to make my case to the crowd, I felt two hands on my shoulders. I froze. ‘Why is the vice-president of the United States touching me?'”

“I felt him get closer to me from behind. He leaned further in and inhaled my hair. I was mortified. He proceeded to plant a big slow kiss on the back of my head. My brain couldn’t process what was happening. I was embarrassed. I was shocked. I was confused. … I wanted nothing more than to get Biden away from me.”

“I had never experienced anything so blatantly inappropriate and unnerving before,” she added.

“He was there to promote me as the right person for the lieutenant governor job. Instead, he made me feel uneasy, gross, and confused. The vice-president of the United States of America had just touched me in an intimate way reserved for close friends, family, or romantic partners — and I felt powerless to do anything about it.”

#MeToo

Biden’s camp has since responded to the accusation by feigning ignorance.

“Vice President Biden was pleased to support Lucy Flores’s candidacy for Lieutenant Governor of Nevada in 2014 and to speak on her behalf at a well-attended public event,” his spokesperson said in a statement. “Neither then, nor in the years since, did he or the staff with him at the time have an inkling that Ms. Flores had been at any time uncomfortable, nor do they recall what she describes.”

“But Vice President Biden believes that Ms. Flores has every right to share her own recollection and reflections, and that it is a change for better in our society that she has the opportunity to do so. He respects Ms. Flores as a strong and independent voice in our politics and wishes her only the best.”

The reaction to Friday’s events have differed like night and day.

Those who are intellectually honest responded to Flores’ op-ed by noting that Biden has a lengthy history of creepy, inappropriate behavior and arguing that he’s a relic of the past.

Even the far-left outlet Vox admitted as much.

“Flores’s experience isn’t unique. It is no secret in Washington that Biden has touched numerous women inappropriately in public,” the left-wing news purveyor wrote.

Those who are not intellectually honestly — including, it would seem, the majority of the Democrat Party’s increasingly radicalized base — responded to Flores’ piece by accusing her of being a GOP plant and comparing Biden’s touching to President Donald Trump’s locker room talk.

Apparently, the president speaking inappropriately about women is equivalent to the former VP actually touching women and children in blatantly inappropriate ways.

“Really who in the Republican party bribed you? Our elected president grabbed women’s and nobody cared, are you trying to get trump reelected,” one Democrat wrote.

That was a lie.

The responses over at HuffPost, which jumped through hoops last year to smear then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh over spurious accusations of sexual assault, were similar.

“Hummmm… how much is the gop paying her????? We will find out soon,” the top-voted comment on HuffPost’s Flores write-up reads.

Here’s just a small sample of the behavior they’re shamelessly excusing:
